It’s a clusterfuck because we do know Luvu hits more than tackles, but he also did that last year and played well. I think a large issue is the coaching staff standing at the pulpit and preaching “ball is life” to death instead of “TACKLE. CORRECTLY.”
This is with a defensive head coach by the way
Too slow.
This has been a problem with our team for as long as I can remember
You could just look up the stats to see who it is.
* Daron Payne 17.6% (9)
* Frankie Luvu 16.7% (17)
* Darnell Savage Jr. 16.7% (3)
* Trey Amos 13.5% (5)
* Noah Igbinoghene 13.5% (5)
* Jeremy Reaves 13.4% (13)
* Javon Kinlaw 13.3% (6)
* Mike Sainristil 13.2% (12)
* Jonathan Jones 12.8% (5)
* Will Harris 12.5% (5)
* Von Miller 11.1% (3)
* Jordan Magee 10.7% (6)
* Marshon Lattimore 10% (3)
* Jacob Martin 9.5% (4)
* Quan Martin 9.3% (10)
* Antonio Hamilton 5.6% (1)
* Jer’Zhan Newton 5% (2)
* Bobby Wagner 4.3% (7)
* Dorance Armstrong Jr 4% (1)
* Preston Smith 0% (0)
Percent and (Total Missed Tackles)
I omitted a few players who played limited snaps and only had like 1 miss.
Our guys don’t tackle. They collide.
This isn’t the 80s. They don’t practice tackling anymore.
But we gotta great culture now.
I think they’re just feeling the pressure. Constantly playing under the gun so to speak. Hopefully they’re better next year for sure.
Interesting news, a bunch of bad defenses have bad tackling.
What I’m surprised about is the Steelers/Texans/Vikings
This is so bad
We have shitty players
Do we even practice with pads to get a real chance to work on tackling or is it a done thing in the NFL?
