Cubs fans are FED UP. ⚾🔥

In this episode, Mike Jones dives headfirst into the Chicago Cubs’ lack of urgency this offseason and their continued refusal to spend outside their comfort zone. Once again, the Cubs swung and missed, this time on Tatsuyi Imai, reportedly backing off because they weren’t comfortable with the AAV he was seeking in his contract.

Meanwhile, fans are watching division rivals get better while the Cubs stand pat — and the frustration has reached a boiling point. Is this front office playing it too safe? Is this approach costing the Cubs a real shot at contention? And how long will fans tolerate this pattern?

Mike breaks it all down, calls out the front office, and asks the question every Cubs fan is thinking: Is this acceptable anymore?

  1. At this point i think the Cubs if not doing well i foresee Happ, Suzuki, tiallion, Nico , Shoto, and mills will be traded at the dadline so during the lock out ricketts wont have to pay anyone 14:39

  2. I been saying boycott rickits. Don't give him your money. I love the cubs since 75. But tired of this. Last year I went to my first Sox game. And a lot better seat for price. And cheaper parking. Then end up going to 3 more Sox games. I'm from Michigan. I also saw cubs tigers. Love tigers stadium again alot cheaper. But nothing heat Wrigley. But I'm not giving rickits my money. If we stick together and not spend. I garrenty
Rickits start treating us cubs fans with a lot better players.

  3. I didnt want Amai at a crazy contract, because if tge uncertainty. But for what he signed for, how did wevnitvoutbod that small of a contract. At that price it was definitely worth seeing what he does in the MLB.

  4. Cubs fans will still fill up the stadiums , so why should Ricketts improve the team? Traded Cam for nothing. Who will replace Nico? Why get Bregman and keep Shaw? You will not see a repeat of last year. The Cubs will be in 4th place.

  5. Welcome aboard, Mike! I agree with everything you said. The Cubs DO NOT want to win; they just want to make money. Think about it, you NEVER hear Jed say the team's goal is to win the World Series. Instead, the goal is always to somehow make the playoffs and try to break even financially. All of us know the Cubs need a top-of-the-rotation starter, an experienced closer, and a middle-of-the-order bat to make a serious run at the pennant. There were plenty of top-flight starters, closers, and hitters available at the start of the offseason. The Cubs claimed to be "in" on all of them, but thus far have signed NONE of them. Afterwards, they give us a song and dance about saving money for the trade deadline. Yet, somehow, they never have enough money to acquire the talent they need. Why? Because we're told they were too expensive.  There is still time for the Cubs to make some significant signings, but I'm not very optimistic that it will happen.

I don't have a problem with letting the kids play. If that's the game plan, then admit it openly. Instead of pretending that they are talking to Bregman, Bichette, and Okamoto. The kids will have to play anyway in 2027, given the number of free agents we will have at the end of next season. We might as well give them some experience now.

  6. There needs to be a rule in Major League baseball that you have to at least put forth an effort to put a winning team on the field in the penalty being you have to sell the team to somebody who will

  7. The Cubs ownership reminds me a whole lot of when Tribune Co. owned the team…they just care about money. They do just enough to keep us fans baited to come to games, buy merch, spend our money. They continue to disappoint when it comes to signing the big fish. But it doesn't have to be this way.

  8. Yeah man I have no faith in these mfs anymore. The fact they are a big market team but don’t want to spend. I wish the mccaskey’s owned the Cubs and Bulls at this point.
