“As for McDaniel, the Browns have always admired his brilliant offensive mind, his innovative play-calling and his strategic thinking. He’s been on their radar for some time, and would likely jump at the chance to interview him if the Dolphins fire him and the Browns part ways with Stefanski.”

We don’t need a new HC!
Anything is better than the Stefanski “try to draw them offsides on 4th and 5” offensive system we have now.
No!
He would be an awful HC for Cleveland. Our division is gritty and tough and his offenses are all about flash and speed.
Don’t do it Jimmy

He’s not a fit at all, we do not have the fast personnel that he’s obsessed with
I don’t think Miami is firing McDaniel
Browns are letting everyone know who they want as coach before the season ends?
Sure I believe that
For as tight-lipped as the regime has been with leaks, something strange is going on in Berea.
Under Berry, nothing has been leaked unless it’s been a planned leak.
This reeks as a GoT-style find-the-rat leak or something crazy is going on (like Stafanski leaking because he really does want to move on).
Either that, or someone is making shit up.
So, to be clear, the worst possible future is Kyler & McDaniel…
There’s NO place for either here, because they aren’t remotely serious NFL Personalities or Professionals.
Both from this reporting and the way the MKC/Labbe/Bastock discussed it on the podcast, it sounds to me like they’re just repeating what Jeremy Fowler said (not something they’ve heard independently) *but* MKC does “know” that people in the building have liked McDaniel for years.
Personally I don’t hate the idea. Not sure I love it but not opposed either. On the good side, McDaniel is an extremely innovative offensive mind and it would be fun to watch at times. On the bad side, he’s a weirdo and I’m not sure he works here until the dome is built (see: his coaching disasterclass when he came to Cleveland to play in bad weather this year).
We don’t need another head coach who coddles the players. Very similar to KS in team approach is my concern. Super creative on offense however.
Rather have Stefanski than this guy.
Horrific move if that happens.
My conspiracy theory is that Kev agreed to some things this year, in an effort to separate himself from the team. Like, I’ll do this, but I want out at the end of the season.
Just a gut feeling.
We beat them.
