[Charania] Denver Nuggets center Jonas Valanciunas will be re-evaluated in 4 weeks after sustaining a right calf strain in Wednesday’s win in Toronto, sources tell ESPN. Another injury blow for third-seeded Denver, which is down 4 of 5 starters, including Nikola Jokic and now his backup.

  1. They should legitimately start load managing Jamal until we get both AG and CB back, the guy already has an ankle sprain.

  2. Best Nuggets team I have ever seen with my eyes in my life. Best start to a season ever. And it’s just going like this. Sports are so unfair. But there’s reason to be optimistic still.

  3. Valanciunas takes his role as a Jokic backup so serious, he refuses to be a starter. Even made sure to miss the same amount of time.

  4. Center is going to be some combination of Holmes and Zeke? I mean outside of a trade, what are the options for a band aid on this for the next month?

  5. Would be awkward if Holmes ball out and them Jokic and Big Val both return on the same time and Holmes be back as a 3rd string

  6. How do I freeze myself like Cartman did for a month until all of this has passed 😐

  7. Damn, was hoping it would be a 1-2 week thing. Gotta think they at least sign Moses Brown to a 10-day contract.

Maybe waive Tamar Bates given how long he is out and give that 2-way to Brown?

  8. Feels like it’s always January when the Nuggets get the injury bug and have to tough it out.
