Where are all those people saying he can’t handle the blitz / pressure?
And how many of those throws was he pressured on? There is a reason the center won the offensive mvp. That line dominated that game. Mendoza has talent and is a first round QB, but we gotta pump the brakes. His arm is okay and his mobility leaves a lot to be desired. His biggest strength is his release and his short accuracy. Down the field he is accurate but struggles over the middle due to middling arm strength which causes his passes to sail (combined with his poor footwork). He is far from a perfect prospect and everyone would be wise to temper expectations.
The same people praying for an L this week will be the same ones saying hes a bust in week 7 lmaooooo pinches pendejos let shit happen

Of course, we’re the Raiders, so we’re probably going to win a meaningless game against the Chefs and then drop down to 3rd or 4th in the draft.
He’s the guy the Raiders need. I truly believe if they pick Mendoza at 1, invest a lot of money into the OL and fill in the Defense along the way, they will be a playoff team in 1-2 seasons. Look at Chicago, that’s the timeline they should model after.

He was also sacked on several of those blitzes. He played super well but no need to pretend he was perfect against the blitz.
Good thing there’s a vast difference between the two off the field.
He attempted 18 passes…. I’m still not sold on this guy being THE savior for the raiders. Moore played a far better defense and had some insane throws. To me, Moore is that guy. He’s the next cj stroud
