That 112–110 win in Indiana was one of those games that tells you a lot about where the Magic are right now. It wasn’t pretty, it wasn’t smooth, and it definitely wasn’t easy , but we stayed in it the whole way and found a way late.
Indiana did what they always do and tried to speed things up, but Orlando never let the game completely get away. The defense kept grinding, the effort stayed consistent, and when it mattered most, Paolo stepped up and hit the go-ahead bucket in the final seconds. That’s the kind of moment young teams usually don’t handle well ,and this time, we did.
There’s still stuff to clean up, especially on offense when things stall, but wins like this are huge for growth. Road game, tight finish, pressure situation, and we didn’t fold. That’s not a fluke, that’s progress.

On a side note, I built this calendar which syncs to your local timezone with no hassle so one doesn't have to constantly check with the time, here's the link to it:

Hope this helps!

  1. Idk man I thought they handled these situations well the last couple of years. If anything we are losing more of the ugly games to bad teams then we were.

  2. Don’t get me wrong, its way more exciting to watch a close game that we pull off in the final minutes, but I am hoping once everyone is back and this team really starts hitting their stride, we start winning in a more dominating fashion.

  3. IMO, it was a good game. Jalen was back in just like he wasn’t gone for a month. They found very good looks, and as you said, they kept it at our pace.

  4. I agree partially, but we still should remember the current Pacers are finals tested even if they’re going through a tank currently due to Haliburton being out. The Knicks relied on a gamewinning shot by Brunson to clutch up the game too.

  5. The Pacers are literally the worst team in the league and we struggled to win by two. You’re a lot more optimistic (naive?) than me to take much positive from that. Paolo looks better, so there’s that at least.

  6. “Here’s why a close, ugly win against a team that has only won 6 games all season is actually a good thing”
