Are the Seattle Kraken good this season?

1. My response is currently, No they are not good. Thankfully for them tho there are only 3 teams playing well and none in their division so they are getting results by being less not good than most other teams.

3. There are only 3 or 4 good teams in the whole league this year, it seems. The teams that finish 7 and 8 in the west this year will not be good teams, but they will make the playoffs.

6. Compared to the 2022-23 team, they’re not good, I’d argue they’re still quite bad. They’re still the worst scoring team in the league, even with the nice offensive breakout last night. The issue is the west as a whole is not great, outside the top heavy teams. If the Kraken were in the east, the team would almost certainly started selling all available assets.

   If they manage to somehow sneak into the playoffs, their first opponent would almost certainly be the Avs again. In 22/23 the Kraken were plucky enough, with good shooting% and a herculean effort from Gru to steal that series. This team lacks that shooting talent (though Gru is suddenly now good in the regular season), and I’d almost certainly expect them to get swept.
