The players are playing hard for the coaching staff. And I’m rooting for the defense to take another step forward. If we truly have a better Kicker then we should be in better shape next season. I believe Raheem lives to see another season.

My guess is Raheem is gone after the season is over. The big question is, are Terry and Rich leaving as well? If all three are gone, we have hope. If any remain, we will continue to wallow in 8-9 mediocrity.

Remember, Morris was hired by Execs and CEOs in a sense. They are NEVER wrong. Signing a coach who had NO interest around the league to a five year contract is idiotic for one, but Morris he has been so bad, he needs to be fired after two is much worse. They don’t want to ever admit they are bad at their job, so he gets at least a third year.
It is not a Herculean effort to make the playoffs in the NFL. Panthers may do it with 9 wins, lol. Morris could make the playoffs next year just by league attrition and enough teams not prepared to play (Rams last week) and catching teams with injury issues. Hell, if we had beat the Jets, we still would have had an outside shot at the playoffs. The success of the Falcons takes a back seat to the ego of the front office.

There are only a couple of people in this coaching cycle that I would want. Honestly it’s just better to keep him for next year and hopefully it’s playoffs or a top 5 pick. Then get a new coach since we have our first rounder in 2027 and go from there.

Really hoping this outside consultants is his excuse to let him go and have “clean hands” as silly as that sounds. If we keep him we are basically writing off bijan and London etc. As they will enter contract years and then this works or we fire him in a year later for a reshuffle and they dont sync or whatever and falcons stay mediocre and the stars leave
It all depends if Blank is in serious talks with Matt Ryan for a major position. If coaching isn’t in his blood maybe the thought of building a team is. If Blank doesn’t have the balls to clean house maybe Ryan does. We’re talking about the Falcons here, I have zero thoughts on what could happen next, and I have been a fan since 1975. So stranger things have happened, and probably will continue. Being a fan this long, you have to live on the hypothetical edge regarding this team. And maybe one day when everything is going right, you’ll have to wonder if something is wrong.Just saying.
