[Shams] Clippers center Ivica Zubac is available to return to action for Saturday’s home game against the Boston Celtics, as L.A. goes for seven wins in a row, sources tell ESPN. Swift comeback for Zubac, who attacked his rehab after sustaining a Grade 2 ankle sprain over two weeks ago.

    Excited to see if they can keep this momentum with him in the starting lineup. Hopefully Yanic keeps getting a shot but not too sure about that one.

  7. This is the first time i have been bummed about a Clippers player coming back from injury, even is Lopez goes 1/12 u still have to respect his shot, and that opens it for everyone else, Zu just cloggs the paint, unless YKN can shoot?👀👀

  13. Clips have been one of the worst rebounding teams in the league without him. We relying too much on Kawhi who’s averaging 38 minutes during this stretch and is going full throttle. It’s not sustainable for an injury prone guy

  16. Center rotation should be Zu/YKN with Lopez getting spot minutes if Zu is in foul trouble and/or the specific matchups make sense for it.

    Btw I really hope this sub doesn’t overreact to Zu’s return if we happen to lose against the team with the 3rd best record in the East…

  18. We’ll remember Brook’s 30-bomb that bailed us out against the blazers. He’s the odd one out most likely at least until Zu’s traded

  19. Will be interesting to see how the coaching staff decides to implement him in his return. Objectively, Zu is an upgrade over Yanic off the bench, so putting him in with the 2nd unit for the time being makes sense when Kawhi is resting. Maybe keep him in if the team is leaking offensive boards, which we’ve a bit more prone to giving up during the winstreak.

  20. Have zu run high pick and roll to open the lanes. And it’ll give plenty of spacing. On defense and rebounding we need him badddd

  24. Welcome back Zu but damn this hurts knowing Lue will probably go with Lopez and glue Yanic to the pine.

    I will have faith that Lue saw the badass lineup to start the 2nd and 4th 2 games in a row with the destroyer…blind faith but faith.

  25. Imagine a second unit lineup of Sanders, DJJ, Batum, & Zu on the floor with Kawhi. That’s a solid second unit.

  26. A 3 and D sniper that can average 12-13 points would solve all spacing problems in the starting lineup. Until then, spam high pick and roll for the time Harden, Kawhi and Zu are in the game which is going to be the first 7-8 minutes of the 1st and 3rd quarter.

  28. Zubac has not been as good this year as last year, but if he can find his way to being the player he was last year, this team is much better long term.

    And if you want to trade him, putting him on the floor makes sense too. He hasn’t been as good this season compared to last.

    If you want to trade Zu because you think Yanic is a replacement, then you need mental help. Like sure that might be the case but here’s nowhere near enough information to say that.

  35. There goes the fucking winning streak, couldnt even see how this team would go against the Celtics without Zu. I was really hoping to see how well they would do.
