  1. I have one jersey… an away Laffy. I got it right before the magical playoff run he had and never looked back

  2. He makes a lot of great plays, just never has net love.

Eventually he will get 30 goals in season.

  3. Wanted to upvote you twice when I realized you were the person who posted the original.

  4. For me, he’s like when Laine was on the Jets. He was average most of the time, but when he went off, it was amazing to watch. I still like him, but I’ve definitely stopped hoping that he’ll live up to his perceived potential.

  5. Me when I said all that stuff in that one post we won’t talk about from four days ago

  6. What if he read the other post and used it as motivation

No what if he reads this and get complacent

  7. just pretend he was a late first rounder like we should have gotten that year and it all makes sense

  8. He fucking showed up. My son got crap for wearing his jersey but had the last laugh.

  9. It’s games like tonight that make him so frustrating to watch. If he played like this every game nobody would complain about him. And the fact that you know he’s got this other gear he can get to makes it doubly frustrating, just waiting game after game for something like tonight. Here’s to hoping for the 5,000th time this game is the turning point and he finally starts living up to the hype.

  10. Had a good game tonight? Cool. Next one from this lightweight will be sometime in March.

  11. His trajectory reminds me of RNH. RNH was expected to perform like McDavid. Hell, every 1OA is … But years later RNH is a solid player, and great addition to the lineup. Same with Laf imo. I’m talking generally and not nitpicking stats

  12. I can’t stand him. Third highest paid skater. Tonight he was just in the right places at the right time. How about when he tried to deke, failed miserably, and had a second chance when the biscuit came back to him, only for him to have a clear shot and completely missing the net? If that isn’t a metaphor for his performance this season, then idk what is. Of all the players drafted first OVERALL SINCE 1985, only 2 have never represented their country at a senior level. Guess who makes up 50% of that statistic?

  13. Rangers are in a deep hole due to Laffy and Kakko. Two top picks that were supposed to anchor the team for the next decade have done very little. Tough to like them right now.
