guys just get some coneys and pass out hundos to everyone on the street like Jamo
Honestly 2k a pop for people making millions. While not what I would spend my money on, I’ve spent $200 on a meal before and that was far more irresponsible for me to do than what they did.
Sexy steak 🤣 that’s a interesting name for a restaurant
So many great restaurants in the city and they go to this corny place lol. Expensive doesn’t mean good.
Dumbest tradition in sports…
26 thousand dollars worth of sides!?!?!
15 Caesar salads? Problematic.
15 Sexy Steak sides? Intriguing.
Am I the only one concerned with the amount of alcohol?
No issue if the season was over, but this seems more like a celebration than a team that’s hungry and locked in…
You guys are weird, they don’t do this everyday or anything
The type of order you make after trying to start a pay it forward chain
$500 per person for Bananas Foster. That shit is bananas b a n a n a s
Could’ve ate at a more modest restaurant and donated the rest to a Detroit charity, but alright.
Rookie Minimum is $840k. This is less than one games pay… They can afford it.
I actually tried getting a job at that spot lol
Which rookie is this?
With NIL the way it is, this will still work
Holy shit. I’m not surprised those dumb motherfuckers all go bankrupt. Don’t care if it’s a “tradition”. Blowing 40k on a dinner like that is just dumb. But most of those guys live paycheck by paycheck. They spend it all until the next paycheck comes in.
And saying “they can afford it”, is exactly what gets so many of them in financial stress shortly after their careers end. Sure, they can “afford” it now. They can pay for it, but they really can’t afford it, at least most of them. Because those paychecks will stop coming in soon for most of them.
Instead of teaching rookies to spend recklessly, the opposite would be a much better “tradition”.
Lovett’s salary this year is 866k. Quick math this is equivalent to someone with a 70k salary spending ~3.4k on a dinner. Ya that’s a lot
The price of team bonding with a light hazing ritual. All these people saying it’s dumb and overly expensive, that’s the whole fuckin point. Next year those guys will be at another rookie dinner, not paying. Most jobs with close knit team communities all have some kind of dumb ass team bonding, this is just the way most nfl teams check that rookie hazing block without other more reckless hazing. The numbers just mean they are in a different socioeconomic world than most and I am not losing any sleep or be offended over what someone else does with their own money just because I might do something different with it.
This isn’t bad compared to TA’s bill from the same place last year was over 100k lol
Alexzander got paid.
If I was a rookie and got invited to dinner I would politely tell them to fuck off
“Oh sorry, my mom is sick and need to visit her”
NFL = Not for long.
That 860,000 has to last rest of your life because most of these guys so dumb they could hardly read so they will be working at applebees when career is over.
What do you think a guy like Jamo with his 80 IQ (14 Wonderlic score 😂)will be doing for a living when his career is over? Yikes
Every fucking cent of earnings needs to be invested in S&P 500
Index fund to ensure you are not broke in 5 years.
Honestly NFL should fine the fuck out of veterans who haze like this the same way colleges ban fraternity that make freshman get sexually hazed as a joke or whatever the hell they do as hazing.
Dang and I thought my $175 bill for 5 people last night was big
I’ve never seen so many people upset about something with no impact on their lives before 😂 (not totally true but still)
Same restaurant that TA paid for last year iirc. At least mix it up a bit, guys?
