I’ll be honest, I don’t think Atlanta can develop talent so trading for him could be a net positive tbh.

I think pairing him with Coop and going all in on a young core(both under 21) would be the best step forward tbh. Have Kyrie and Kidd mentor them and let’s see how he develops under us.

Anyone who thinks trading Day-to-Davis for a 20 year old #1 overall pick wouldn’t be a net positive for this team is delusional.
I’m a Risacher believer. The kid is 20, good physical tools, great jumper. Pairing him, Flagg, Max, Dlive if healthy and a PG from this upcoming draft would be a great young core in Dallas. Much better than we deserve after the whole Luka business
Hopefully you’re right it’s not like we’ve had the best luck with developing wings except maybe Doe Doe.
Apart from that, getting off AD’s contract and getting under the aprons will allow us to facilitate trades for more draft capital in return for taking on bad contracts, and his extension would lock us into this old core until the wheels fall off in like 3 years and cooper is left with a lot less to work with in his prime years
What is Jalen Johnson for $1000 Bob! Dude should’ve won ROY. Have you ever heard of a sophomore slump
The problem is nothing credible suggests Hawks are willing to move him. But yes I do like the idea of him, Flagg, Max, Lively, and whoever we draft in top 10 this year as our core and Kyrie as the vet star to lead them. You don’t even have to necessarily trade guys like PJ, Gafford, and Marshall since they could be excellent guys to help compete now, but of course you’d have to look at what you can get for them.
What’s funny is if you go to the hawks sub they think including him in any trade AD trade would be a crazy overpay
I’ll double down and say i would rather get Ris than get a late first from Atl in this draft.
Hawks developed Jalen Johnson tho?
Hawks have a lot of guys more than they can’t develop talent. I mean Trae, Dyson, Jalen Johnson, okongwu + more they’ve developed
Forget about this guy. Onyeka should 100% be coming back in that trade.
