The boys talk about Astros big signing of Japanese pitcher Tatsuya Imai!

Don't forget about Spencer
This is so much pitching. Cant even stash them all in minors
Tim Lincecum is my comparison to Tatsuya Imai.
Spring Training pitching competition will be intense to compete for a Starting Role or Bullpen role.
Yordan needs to lose some weight
Hangover aside. What a great way to start the new year and start off the day at 3pm by seeing the Astros signed a Dodger hater. I already love him for that.
Owners in collusion! How are these players not getting signed?! Astros get a great talent but what is going on with these other players ?! I don’t think the Astros get Imai if it’s not collusion between these teams.
Not to be a complete asshole, I'll just be a budget aisle asshole. This new guy will hopefully knock McCullers from the rotation. We saw last year, aside from his anomaly 18-1 Dodger ass whoopin', Lance pitched, on average, 2 serviceable innings before his third inning walk-o-thons. You could set your watch to it. McCullers was a hero in 2017, but that was 8 years ago. No one can reasonably expect him to be that pitcher in 2026. His role this coming year should be mid-relief from the bullpen. If he does good, great. If not, Espada can pull him and put someone else in. Unless lightning strikes the dugout again with injuries, we have plenty of arns to replace him, Mid-reliever should be his landing spot before retirement.
Speaking of that someone else pitcher… I'm looking at Bluebaugh or Alexander to find a place in the mid-season rotation. Most fans are glossing over what they did last year. Even other Astros podcasters give neither of them the respect they earned last season. To me, that's podcast malpractice. But what do I know…I'm just another wanker, yelling from the cheap seats.
But from those cheap seats…all the rumors of Parades being traded is ate up with stoopid. But, they have to solve the problem in the infield. Unfortunately, they are stuck with Walker. They may have no choice to trade him. That sux.
Watching that video of our new guy? That slider is filthy.
Think about the possibilities with the backups in the pitching that the Astros have right now! the Astros could always use some pitchers to piggyback or do some opening when they think that they need to give the rotation a little rest and maybe even save the bullpen during certain stretches of the season.
