Major respect to Mad Maxx, embodiment of Commitment to Excellence & elite competitor. Can’t blame him if he ultimately wants to play for a contender during the prime of his NFL career. Damn hope he remains a RaideršŸ“ā€ā˜ ļø

Would much rather keep Maxx Crosby in Silver & BlackšŸ“ā€ā˜ ļøWill need 2 first round picks if he finally wants to be traded (NFC teams only)

  1. It’s time. Love the player, and will forever….but keeping him just because he embodies ‘The Raider Way*’ isn’t smart business. He’s in his prime and we’re not close to winning anything of note. We need to hit a full reset and get a couple 1st rounders for him.

He can talk up the team and fans all he wants, but at the end of the day…he will look out for himself first. Hence the anger towards getting shut down this year and also threatening to leave if we didn’t hire AP.

    The team above any individual.

*The current Raider Way has been losing for 25 years

  2. Finding replacement for Maxx will be harder than people think. Don’t understand this craze for some to just trade away best thing we had since forever. It sounds more like frustration of our miserable organization leeching onto him. Who cares what he does on his own time. It never made the news. It never caused distraction with the team. He’s not a diva that demands attention all the time. Why can’t we have nice things? Because we’re trying to get rid of one we have.

  3. Personally I want nothing more than for max to stay, especially so he can be here when things turn around hopefully. That being said 2 1st round picks is a huge haul for a former 4th rounder and could really help us build for the future.

I say keep him and go with a defensive draft class while focusing on the Oline in Free agency.

  4. Max was ment to play with Mike Mcdonald as a Seahawk! That D line would be insane.

  5. After 2023 you could get two 1sts. Now, after injuries, with a surgery coming up? Probably not, unless they’re very late round picks.

  6. They need to do it before he publicly demands a trade and torpedoes our leverage.

  7. I feel folks calling for a Maxx trade are either too young, or don’t remember 2000’s Raiders. They were a bad team, more specifically, a bad team people vocally didn’t want to be on.

There was talent we had the means to land, but didn’t, because of our reputation and it remained that way until Carr.

I would actually prefer the picks to Maxx, but this team is absent of identity and player pride without him and I think that is far more detrimental than a blue chip we’re wasting.

Like it or not, Maxx is the face of this franchise and my opinion is, it’s bad business to trade him, so I don’t see it happening.

Yeah he whines, he whines about winning and wanting to play, beats the living fuck out of guys doing the opposite, which is what we had a healthy dose of a decade ago.

  8. A lot of yall so quick to let go of Maxx.

Honestly it’s quite sad. Incredibly sad.

  9. The part about his on field battles with Mahomes and after the game he hugs Mahomes wife and plays with his kids should tell you he’s going nowhere. Yeah he was mad at Spytek or Carroll or whoever but after that it’s all love again.

  10. I’m a Raider fan first and foremost and if trading him helps the Raiders then good luck in your future endeavors sir

  11. Maxx is irreplaceable. This is a fact. And he should be pissed – he’s earned the right.

And we still cannot trade that man.

  12. I wonder how often teams with virtually no talent, get better by trading away an all-pro for draft picks. This team has three notably good players – Max, Jeanty and Bowers. Max is the only difference maker on defense. Yeah, trading him for a couple of picks who might pan out makes perfect sense.

  13. All I gotta say if it happens is those draft picks better not be busts. Front office and coaching staff whoever they may be better get their shit together. Raider Nation deserves better.

  14. Some solid OL upgrades, a number 1 WR, and a respectable DE would do wonders for Maxx’s already high production. Assuming LV can lose Sunday and they draft Mendoza. The defense played hard, objectively was middle of the pack, but the numbers look dreadful because of gassed they were from the pathetic performances week after week from the offense. Jeany would benefit also. Keep Maxx!

  15. You make your star player happy. The past 3 years he’s never spoken out about the team. He wanted AP as the HC, got rid of him. He was to finish the year, he got benched to protect their investment… He’s not asking for more money and holding out. He just wanted to be listened to. Hear out what he wants. Should be a no brainer after the past 3 years. Hopefully they can make this right.

  16. I think it could be a win win to let Maxx go so he has a shot at success at his age. And the draft picks we’d get would be better suited for our rebuild window.

  17. The point of the draft is to acquire talent under contact control.

Crosby is signed up for 4 more years. He’s the point of draft picks. Not going to be happy with any haul that involves two or more 1st round picks, because those picks will be in the 20s, and we have played that game before, but this time it is even worse, because Maxx is under contract.

This situation is completely different from Mack or Parsons, since they needed to be signed. Give him a month, and have him meet Mendoza (hopefully) in training camp and refuse all offers that do not involve top 10 picks.

  18. I know a team that would be very interested in Maxx if he hits the trading block, and they have enough depth in the defensive backfield and potentially (depending how the draft goes) at OL to make a deal with an added draft pick or two.

  20. I think the parson deal set the tone for Maxx’s worth. Maxx is worth slightly less (simply due to age). So whatever parsons was take a bit off. 1 1st and 2 2nd’s or some Jaz. He’s a great player. Difference maker. Bears fan here. We will take him haha!
