DISCONNECT: Washington Commanders’ Offense and Kliff Kingsbury CLASH—Front Office Shake-Up Looms!

Friction between Kliff Kingsbury’s offensive vision and the Washington Commanders’ front office has reached a breaking point, as recent reports reveal a disconnect with GM Adam Peters, and questions swirl over Kingsbury’s fit moving forward. Is the Commanders’ stagnant offense and lack of adaptability to blame for stalled progress, and will a coaching shake-up be the spark this team needs?

Breakdowns include the underwhelming use of playmakers like Terry McLaurin, Chris Moore, Jaylen Lane, and Deebo Samuel, with data showing repetitive schemes and predictable play-calling. Deep dives into run-pass balance, under-center strategies, and the fate of quarterback Jayden Daniels spotlight the challenges facing Washington. As the NFL evolves towards ground games and flexible attacks, the Commanders must decide if Kingsbury can adapt or if a new offensive mind is needed to ignite the roster in 2026.

  1. "You know what's not an extension of the running game?" 😅😅😅 You deserve an award for that one.

Kliff has never looked like he is enjoying what he's doing.

  2. I don’t believe that Kliff will change his view on running the ball. He loves to pass and doesn’t do what is best for the team. He says one thing and does another. When your running back, is hot then keep feeding him.

  3. Yeah I would like to see a change I would like to see Jayden Daniel underneath the center more as well Jayen Daniel also he had to learn how to protect himself bring me some more weapons for Jadyen bringing some more weapons for him yeah let these running backs running the ball
    1/3/2026

  4. Something else I think the team needs to address is not making the same mistake of rostering injury prone 'vets' like (Noah Brown) just bc they're getting the player on 'the cheap' Also, JCM aka Bill needs to be a feature back with CR Jr used like Detroit uses David Montgomery. I'm not gonna lie, when it comes to Terry, man.. SMH… after what he pulled this preseason, I'd seriously shop/unload his ass. Keep Deebo, he's versatile. The O-Line needs to be reconfigured, players like Magee, Medrano, etc need to get involved and get comfortable playing… Jaylin Lane is a good PR and slot, need to get him in the mix. The defensive schemes are whack and need to be changed and tailored based on opponent and not just the same 'vanilla' hybrid Dan Quinn style 5-2-4. We took a shot on lattimore and it didn't work out, so move on get what u can and learn from the mistake. Lattimore? More like 'LattiLess' lol. Kliffy is stuck on his 'Run and Shoot' offense, but we need to run a more modern style Offense and not stick to the same old same old…. Jayden Daniels needs to be protected at all costs – shutting him down for the rest of the season was smart but you know how that old saying goes? A day late and a dollar short… (After that Seattle mismanagement) However, I'd definitely give DQ a chance to 'right the ship' and see how next season goes – even if we finish 9 and 8 or 10 and 7, then give him a 4th year and if by season 5 we aren't at least back in the Wild Card, then Josh Harris et al might need to look for a new coach? Joe Whitt, Jr. – he won't be back… and Kliff will prob not either (50/50 chance in my opinion) At the same time, I'm going to place my faith and trust in the decisions made at the top and in the front office for now…

  5. I remember the golden age of yesteryear when Gibbs came to Washington,& he loved to throw the ball, cause he was from the air Coryell system of offense, but he saw the ability of a good ground game & adjusted his offense to that, which obviously helped to make the team more multi faceted & helped put them in position to win more games, which led to more post season appearances. He also made sure he added the players that had the talent to excell,so that all worked hand in hand in giving them the record they ended up with, which was more success than failure

  6. I appreciate your the only local media going at kliff. I been screaming tbis all season. Kliff has no accountability. He wants his scheme to be the success instead running a scheme that fits to the players.

  7. Man, David is so insightful. I mentioned this prior to his hiring in a short. And if you read between the lines, DQ said several times that he wanted to run the ball more and only recently has Kliff been doing that. By the way, hope commanders take a look at Brian Fleury of the 49ers as poss. OC.
