Pointed out by a YT commenter on Talbots kids interview. Never seen something like that before.

Looks like part of typical gear?
Edit, sorry for my ignorance. It’s been like 25 years since I’ve played š„ŗ. BUT, I’m surprised they would let photos leak of anything injury related.?
Not normal but typically the stuff the pro guys are using is far from normal. Most stuff they got you canāt find on shelves. Either because itās completely customer or itās 15 years old and they refuse to get rid of it.
I looked up āOrtenā and preliminary results suggest itās a software used by a company named Proteor for digital scanning of the body to help with the designing custom orthotics. My theory is Mo is most likely dealing with chronic unstable AC or GH joint which requires some sort of orthotic to prevent dislocations.
Looks like an orthopedic shoulder brace. Probably for nursing a sprain of some kind.
I wonder if he’s dealing with something. I’ve noticed his hits/60 are down. In fact, they are the lowest of his career at 3.97. Even his rookie year he was at 4.79. Not that I’m complaining — he’s been stellar defensively.
I’ve seen those, they’re for keeping your arm/shoulder in place when dealing with sprains/dislocations. This probably has to do with the day Mo went to morning skate, took a couple laps, and left.
This is how Mo keeps putting the hit on. Thereās nothing wrong with him LOL
Definitely protecting that area more than normal. Maybe this explains him skating a few weeks ago on his own no equipment before practice. To see where he was being able to use the arm/shoulder
Anybody remember that one time he was injured playing in, I think, the Worlds shortly after we drafted him? He injured that shoulder if I recall.
Letās go Iron Man!
I think he’s pretty clearly nursing something.
Mo started wearing something like this after he hurt his shoulder in the SHL a few years ago. Maybe it’s something that he just got used to, and feels comfortable wearing. Kinda like Rip Hamilton and his face shield. Clearly those bombs from the blueline tell me his shoulder is fine.
I’ve been wondering why he’s not stepping into those slapshots from the point on the PP. He’s been deferring almost 100% of the time and the defenders know it. Now I know hes holding up for reasons.
Dude’s a horse, and the wings are a wagon
Half man half machine.
Well, it looks like someone already found the exact model of custom shoulder brace but I think it would be funny if things like this aren’t accidental. Like if you have a left knee injury so you tend to your right shoulder to draw away the attention from it.Ā
I didn’t even notice because I was stuck on how he called sour Skittles “skitties” which actually sounds better IMO and that l could look like an i.Ā
The Talbot kids did a great interview though. Much better than “How big was (obviously important, vital thing)?’
“It was huge”.Ā
I’m sure the players get sick and tired of redundant questions based of “of course” or “obviously” being included in the answers most of the time. šĀ
We can rebuild him.
Mo! what’d you Do!!!!
I feel this as I sit in a sling after my 6th shoulder procedure. Glad his is just a cuff brace.
