Oh, the Canucks sent Sherwood another offer?

  1. Aquilini can’t afford a rebuild, so we won’t get one.

For anyone who doesn’t understand, rebuilds often mean lower spending on Tickets.

    Aquilini can’t afford that.

It’s the same reason why he pressured GM’s/Coaches to push for wins toward the end of lost seasons… So he could sell the same “Look how we finished strong, bright future” BS that he always does.

    Want change?

Stop spending your money on this team.

  2. I don’t think they’re actually re-signing him. I think this is meant to create some desperation and turn up the heat on trade talks.

  3. Could just be their last offer to him. Everything else this week suggests they’ve stepped up trade talks. Could be close to a trade and circled back on his ask before finalizing that.

  4. The freak out over an extension offer to a player who’s on the block and are still far away for is truly legendary.

  5. This is just posturing and the media loves the freak outs.

Its laughable, be better canucks fans. Just watch the Donald trump show or the world juniors lol

  6. I was gonna watch the game tonight but I think I’d rather clean and reorganize my house instead now.

  7. They called it a rebuild then called it a retool the next day. Its not happening
Can’t even afford a practice facility, they can’t afford a rebuild

  8. if there’s no trade protection then it could be fine

him being signed past this offseason on a cost controlled deal could make him easier to move to a contender and increase his value

a GM interested in Sherwood wouldn’t have to fear losing him for nothing in free agency so they’d be more willing to part with assets like a first rounder.

if there is trade protection then that’s a problem

  9. One thing of note. Lots of season ticket packages come with terms now. So the excuse to not at least rebuild for a couple seasons is poo poo.

  10. Crazy how selling the team would fix Aquilinis cash issues still he chooses to manage

  11. Is this an example of why Italian business owners have to turn to crime to make ends meet?
