  2. Look, I understand the leafs claiming this is a great game by the leafs but this is about the devils. I’m a huge devils fan and it is about how inept the devils are. Can’t score goals, soft and markstrom giving up soft goals. All devils fans want Tom Fitzgerald fired

  3. This just shows that nobody in that locker room respects Matthews or looks to him for leadership or inspiration. And i dont blame them one bit. Matthews is not only the softest player in the league, never even getting into scrums to have his team mates back, but the guy is a charisma void. His lack of a personality just sucks all life out of that locker room. So yes, while he is obviously a great player and the team is clearly better when hes playing, you cant tell me that they dont LOOK a lot more cohesive and engaged when hes not playing.

  6. Devils fan here. I'm so tired of the organizational dysfunction and now I see why Leafs fans wanted to chase Keefe out of TOR. HE NEVER ADJUSTS.

    My boys, unless there are DRASTIC changes and a full roster shake up, will be relegated to an annual big winning streak followed up by players made of glass getting injured, the team spiraling out of control, and either missing the playoffs or getting SMACKED in the 1st round or 2nd round by a team that ACTUALLY DESERVES TO BE THERE.

    And our ownership only cares about the arena. The team was a nice bonus for them when they bought the Prudential Center, and it shows. They only care that the Devils aren't losing money and won't lift a FINGER to fire Fitz or make a change. I'm strongly considering selling my season tickets and not renewing until something drastic and sustainable changes in this dumpster fire of an organization.

    Great win by the Leafs. You looked like a team that wanted to win. We didn't.

  9. This reminds me of when the Maple Leaf's played Philadelphia Flyers in the playoffs in 2002-2003 Mats Sundin & Alexander Mogiliny were hurt and out. The Leafs lite up and were doing amazing. Darcy Tucker & even Tie Domi were scoring it was amazing. What did Toronto do… put and not 100% health Mats Sundin & Alexander Mogiliny back and reset the line up and it completely screwed them. If it ain't broke don't fix it. I'm a Boston fan for life (that lives in Ontario) , but would love to see Toronto win the cup sooner then later.

  14. I think it kinda needs to be addressed again. And I’ve been screaming it since the Montreal series. THE STARS ARE THE PROBLEM!! I’m not saying at all that this team is just straight better without them. But I think it’s fair to say that the buy in is happening and Berube is a good coach when players buy in. And it seems even more so now then ever it’s a select few stars not buying in. Still trying to outskill there way through. And that’s even worse then there skill level has dropped dramatically (matthews) and your missing a key piece of that strategy (marner). Not saying we need marner at all. Just that it was more possible to play that way with him. But it’s proven time and time again to never work. Now with them out. This team shows the buy in. Plays the system for 60 minutes. And look at the result. It’s not just one win. It’s the way they won. The complete game. The clogged middle. Speed down low and pushing through the neutral zone. It doesn’t take skill. But does take buy in

  16. They wont tom Fitzgerald's head because, HE SUCKS AT HIS JOB listen as a hockey fan i know a bad GM or bad coach when i see one and i can see Keefe isn't the problem its the GM who doesn't care to make changes to hopefully make his teams better.

  35. Bench Matthews.
    I know. Crazy to bench your top man.
    But everyone on the team needs to understand they're benchable and nobody deserves to be in the line up.
    Hell, just trade Matthews before this becomes a Marner situation.
    Matty needs to be "just another grunt" earning his place.
    We don't need stars who don't play like stars
