I am in the unfortunate position of being a Cleveland Browns fan and Manchester United fan, both of these teams have fired their head coach today.
Sad to see Kevin go, think he’ll do very well elsewhere but disappointed too long to stay on.
Hopefully we can make a decent hire. I don’t agree with moving on from Kevin, but if it moves the organization forward let’s do it.
Haslam is still an idiot
The cycle continues. Who are you going to get that is better?
Good guy, did a lot good here, the ending sucked. I can see the reasons to keep him just as much as I can see the reasons he was let go.
Not gonna sit here and pretend I know one way or another the next guy they hire will he better or worse. Anyone saying they know is full of shit. Just look at how the Hue hire was viewed at the time.
Not sure what else you want from a coach with Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, two rookies, and a sexual predator in the QB room to start the season
Let’s hope they got good intel about potential replacements.
This shouldn’t surprise people. I liked Kevin. We were awful these past two years and the offense regressed by all conventional and advanced metrics.
No he is not the only one to blame. But it’s his job to elevate the team and In particular the offense. That’s why we hired him.
It was time for a change. That’s how it goes.
Idk how Andrew stays if Kevin’s gone – he was coaching with the roster Andrew gave him…..
He’ll have a better job next week. If Berry was fired, would he be hired next week? Makes you wonder.
Call it Haslam’s Razor: the dumbest outcome is usually the most likely one.
Ok fair enough. I just hope Jimmy and Berry have a plan here (they don’t)
How the fuck do they let a guy go that is all the sudden the best candidate for other teams in 2026?? It makes no sense to me.
Too much smoke around that fire, can’t say I’m surprised.
Probably the fourth best Browns coach of all time?
That said, considering the state of the roster, the admission was either:
* The talent on the roster was bad, and so the GM must go.
* The talent on the roster was not coached well, and so the HC must go.
* The talent on the roster was bad and not coached well, and so both the GM and HC must go.
My flair stays relevant
Front office and owner completely ruin the direction of the team, then fire the coach. It’s so Browns of them.
This team will never be successful as long as Haslam is owner. He is the problem.
Well the “It can’t get any worse” crowd is going to find out what it’s like being a Browns fan.
I think this is the wrong move, hope I’m wrong
I don’t think I actually even like this team ffs.
Damn there goes our season
He’ll have a new job by the end of the week. Meanwhile, we’ll be picking at scraps to find our next head coach. Not saying he’s great but I don’t know who’s out there as a serious candidate who’s better?
I wish it worked out but 8-26 in two years just isn’t gonna cut it. Forever Fuck the Haslems for getting Deshaun sexual assaultson and ruining this franchise for the 5 years and multiple first round picks. Also fuck minkah Fitzpatrick for ruining Nick Chubbs knee who was the heart and soul of Kevin’s offense. kev is the scapegoat for not having a good offensive personnel to succeed. in typical browns fashion he was dealt a shit hand and shit circumstances. I’m sure he’ll succeed wherever he goes and I wish him the best.
Emotionally I hate it. He’s incredibly likeable. He fell on the sword all the time.
He’s a good man. That being said. A change is needed.
The statement from Kevin makes it sound like a mutual split. Too bad Berry is staying. He gave Kevin bad pieces for 5 years and gets a reprieve off one good draft class.
What coach is going to want to come in with this shitty culture, shitty ownership, shitty roster, and the giant looming cloud that is the Watson contract?
