  1. No! He is not a SS anymore! His defense is very bad! I don’t think Cubs will be interested in him as they focus on defense a lot! Unless you play him at DH with occasional back up duty at infield.

  2. If i'm the cubs i'm keeping nico and put him at his natural position of SS, I'm getting Bo and put him over at second. yeah I know dansby will be the odd man out, but hey.

  3. He's a great bat, but the defense brings down his value considering he's a middle infielder. If he was a corner OF he'd get very big money. He might be average to good defensively at 2B though. But cannot pay him like a premier SS when he doesn't have the defense to play there. They shouldn't have brought him back on a huge contract considering all that.

  4. Move Dansby? Nobody would take on that contract. Why sign Bichette when you could re-sign Nico for half the price? This content is really starting to feel like just a bunch of hot air as opposed to anything news related or actual solid analysis. You can’t just make a statement about a player, situation, etc. and then say “I don’t know” because it creates unsubstantiated narratives which is bad reporting. I’d expect more professionalism from a former reporter.
