He’d be a perfect fit on this offense and give this team the down the field stretcher it’s lacked since pre injury Aiyuk.

It’s clear Pearsall is too injury prone to fully pencil in as a starter every week, and Jennings is a solid reliable WR2/3, but Pierce could be the final piece to round everything out.

  2. That would be a good start. We need players in almost every group with the exception of QB, RB, and special teams.

  4. They already have a deep threat on the team: Jordan Watkins. They just need to fucking use him. Shanahan and his goddamn roster politics

  8. Pearsall “injury prone” nonsense aside, Jennings will not be on this team next year. He’s not worth the money he wants, simple as that. Let another team pay an aging, slow WR 2 $20M+ a year.

    The draft and the FA class are both solid at WR. There’s a lot of options in this draft with similar builds/playstyles as Jennings but higher athletic upside. We’re spending our 1st on a WR unless all of the ones Shanahan likes are gone by the time we pick. In FA Pierce is solid, but I’d probably rather throw that sort of money at Wandale Robinson who I think would be great in our offense. Finally have a slot receiver that isn’t just CMC motioning out presnap.

  9. He’d definitely add a speed element to the offense (4.41 40), and I honestly had no idea he’s 6’3”, which would be a great way to add size to the group. Feels like a very realistic addition, and if it happens, it probably shuts the door on Jennings coming back.

  13. With all the teams that need WR help, doubt we oitbid anyone for his services. But I’d love to have Pierce. He’s what we hope Pearsal can become. Niners will more than likely just draft a WR

  17. It would be great if we can get him, he’s a great downfield threat but man we need help on the defensive and offensive lines I think more importantly

  28. Repo the rest of Aiyuk’s money (or whats left of it) and his possessions, give them to Pierce.

  29. 100%. We haven’t had a guy like him in years. A guy who can take the top off the secondary. Aiyuk and Ricky are great route runners with great hands, JJ is the perfect third down receiver who can catch a lot of bad balls. But we keep hoping to get a deep threat but never do
