  1. I don’t if Matt is the right guy for the job, but I know he’ll work his ass off, seek advice from other successful people, and generally be a good person.

    Get fucking set.

  2. Matt Ryan has been the reason for the longest period of sustained success for this organization. That does not guarantee success for him at this position but there is no one else who deserves a shot more. Let’s go Matt and Go Dirty Birds!!!

  3. I have a ton of confidence in this move. Lynch and Elway proved to be capable front office executives. I think having football players be in charge of football operations, as long as they are thoughtful and have a vision and understand the business side of it, makes a lot of sense. And I think Matt has those capabilities.

  4. Hope he convinces Arthur Blank to not hire dumbass bill bellichick and his gold digger teenage girlfriend

  5. Between the firings, this hire, and the impending uniform changes, I can feel it shifting.

  6. I just fell to my knees in the McDonald’s parking lot, these cars in the drive thru will just have to wait.

    Get fucking set. 😭😭😭

  7. I said yesterday bringing him in this point to replace McKay would be ideal. It’s easy good press to cover the noise of a firing of that level.

As cool as it is to have him in the building officially, I am glad it wasn’t as General Manager. Not saying Matt wouldn’t end up a good GM, but it’s a real job with real day to day decision making.

  8. I saw someone on “X formerly known as Twitter” say that if there’s anyone who knows what kind of hell this team can put you through and how to avoid it, it’s Matt Ryan.

  9. I really think he’ll do a fantastic job, but at the same time I believe Blank probably feels like he’s out of people he can trust and Matt is one of last ones left he can.

  10. Matt has no ego and has every characteristic you want in a leader. What he lacks in executive experience, he makes up for in pure competitive leadership ability.

  11. I’m pretty sure I died over the holidays and this is my afterlife. Never would’ve guessed all these things would happen. Our time is coming. Get fucking set!

  12. This is actually crazy. I never would have believed before this season that he’d want to be so involved, or for Blank to want to shake up the FO to this degree.

Definitely think it could go either way, but as long as he’s sticking to what he knows (culture, accountability, etc) and not trying to wear the GM hat, I think this could be a good move.

  13. I love it. I would think Blank would mentor him on corporate leadership and get him the support he needs. Matt knows what players need and I think thats been the missing piece.

  14. I think Matt’s lack of experience working in a front office will be made up by the respect the NFL world has for him, the knowledge of a locker room and what it needs for success and high morale, and the ability to (hopefully) see through a GM’s and head coach’s bs if they try to give it to him. He’ll be useful in interviews with coaches, especially.

  15. We should seriously consider replacing “rise up” with “get fucking set”. The word fuck and everything, don’t hold back.

  16. Bruh I don’t even know whether he is qualified (I’m not saying he isn’t, I just don’t know enough to say) and I don’t even care. Count me in!!!

  17. Forget in brotherhood
    Forget fucking rise up

Get fucking set is the mantra now. Spread the word.

  18. I have no idea if this will work, but it will be kinda cool to have someone in the front office that the fans actually like lol
