Rest in peace to former Kings captain and head coach, Mr. Bob Pulford

The former captain of the Kings guided the team to their best regular season with a record of 42-17-21 in 1974-75. Mr. Pulford is also the only head coach in franchise history to win the Jack Adams Award as coach of the year.

Rest in Peace, Bob. I was fortunate enough to meet him and get his autograph one morning in the mid 70s when the Kings practiced at the Culver City ice rink. He was friendly and gracious to an awkward tweenager that day.
Also worth noting is the fact that Bob Pulford is Dean Lombardi’s father in law.
