Yeah, I feel like he might hang them up. Ek was a great pickup for us. Wish him the best. Great guy
Probably calling it a career tbh. He was one of the only positives of the Netflix NFL broadcast. He could have a great future as a broadcaster.
His absence was probably more significant than almost any other this year. He was such a clutch guy to have last year and a huge security blanket for JD. Too bad he won’t be coming back.
Hes a natural for TV pre/post game as he demonstrated on Christmas.
Go get that TV paycheck man thanks for last year.
AE is a class act all the way.
Figuring he hangs up the cleats given that injury to end the season. That’s a hard one to come back from at his age.
He will be phenomenal in the booth or studio wherever he lands. Looking forward to seeing his next chapter.
If he does retire, I hope he can work the pro-level rehab as much as he can.
From his social media, he looks like he is progressing well. At least well enough to have a good quality of life.
Hope he makes it as an analyst. Solid dude. Chargers and Washington will forever be grateful
Do you ever take a break from this app?

Thanks for everything, Eck. Enjoy retirement.
Best of luck to him whatever is next.
I liked him in San Diego and loved him here. Farewell Ek!
Guys like him have a huge impact, similar to JD McKissic; unfortunately it just hasn’t worked out for us health wise.
Nothing but love for Ek
The offense was never a full go whenever he was out and unfortunately that was a lot. Even last year when he was out the defenses didn’t have to account for a pass catching difference maker coming out of the backield and it was obvious.
He stole $$$ from that org lol
nooooo
hope he remembers every year for a long time.
Far enjoyed him on the team more than I was expecting. Hate the way it ended for him, hope he can stick around in the community.
Great guy. Thank you for everything, Austin.
When I saw him on TV casting I knew it wouldn’t be long. Hate to see him go but wishing him the best.
Man, that hurts. In one year, he became one of my absolute favorite players. Reminds me of Jordan Reed, all that potential just destroyed by concussions and other injuries. Was hoping against hope he’d come back next year. Wish him the best.
But wait, is he retiring, or just saying bye to us??
