Sigh
Yea sounds like it
Eager? I don’t think thats the word I would use but he is wise to hire good representation so that he gets a fat pay day whenever some sad franchise fires him in a year or two.
I would hope he wants to work on this defense for one more year
Who do we hire? Jim Schwartz? Jonathon Gannon?
Hopefully it’s just got negotiating a new contract with us
Oh man. He is heading to Arizona, ain’t he?
My hope is he wants a fat pay day from us and the Yorks give it to him
Saleh goes to the Falcons, Kyle hires Raheem Morris as DC (something he’s expressed interest in the past to do) and the swap is capped off with the 49ers game vs Atlanta next year
He gone. And he deserves it.
When we finally get everybody back healthy, Saleh leaves. Smdh fuck this shit
Probably. Can’t blame him. Hes a good coach that needs a team that could win
Would be nice to find a guy who actually wants to be a DC. Let him go…there are a lot of DC options out there with Morris being at the top of the list.
Hard to imagine that he doesn’t leave. Teams generally won’t pay HC money to a coordinator (even though we are for him already tbh) and some guys flat out just want to be a HC. He’ll get another shot I’m guessing, but damn it, we need him back.
I mean he would probably only want to go to the falcons I would guess? He would need to be very selective with where he goes. Coaches get a second chance when they fail sure but a third chance almost never happens. Cardinals looks grim, browns even worse, and the raiders the worst of all.
i just fell to my knees 🙁
Raheem Morris is a really good friend of Kyle’s. Working with friends can be a challenge, but if there’s no better option I would be ok with it.
I don’t think he was planning on it but then saw how thin the coach candidate pool was and how many spots were opening up. His chances at another HC gig are pretty good this cycle even with a mediocre defense
If he doesn’t choose wisely the next chance could be his last. I’m sure he’s aware and will make the right decision.
I hate losing him, but I can’t begrudge the man’s ambition to captain his own ship. These men are super-competitive for a reason.
While I expect his name to be in contention, I wouldn’t be surprised if teams focus on hiring offensive coordinators instead. Teams go as their QB goes and offensive minded coaches help that tremendously.
Jaguars are suddenly good under Cohen. Panthers are suddenly good under Canales. Bears are suddenly good under Johnson. Seahawks are an exception this year, but I’ll be very curious what their offense looks like next year when they lose Kubiak as OC this offseason.
Give him a blank check
I mean you don’t hire a staffing agency if you’re looking to stay where you are already employed
If he’s smart he’ll take the bengals job if open, or Riders for a brand new QB.
Paraphrasing what he said a few weeks ago, he’s only leaving for a team that is in a hard spot with a chance to get better. Not a team whose ownership keeps them constantly out of contention. That said, if he goes anywhere, it won’t be the Browns, Raiders, or Cardinals. Most likely the Giants or Falcons.
Saleh sees the job openings are for the Browns, Raiders, and Cardinals…

I know it’s still early in the cycle but who the fuck would wanna coach for Vegas, Cleveland or Arizona? Those owners are all terrible. Saleh should know that a good ownership team can/will make or break his coaching career
If he leaves we should hire Raheem
Of course he’s eager to be a HC. Otherwise he wouldn’t be hiring a new agency and he would be FOCUSING on this year’s playoff run.

Welcome to the Raiders!
