  1. I guess the Seahawks loss could be worse. The 49ers lost to the Giants in the 85 playoffs 17-3, and the Giants beat them 49-3 in the 86 playoffs. Montana's career was not all highlight reel stuff.

  2. The niners are pretty good, and their offense has been on fire, but I think their fans got a little overly cocky. The predictions I were seeing didn't make any sense. I saw people, several of them, saying that niners would win by 30 points and score 40 points total for thereabouts. That shows that they have no idea what the Seahawks are actually all about. They could have won the game. Let's not pretend that it was impossible for them to win. But despite the score, they got smoked.

  3. It's not a question or conversation about which defense is the best, after that game. That shut the door behind them on being the number one defense statistically or by eye test. It's not week 13 anymore rich.

  4. Look, I don't know if the Seahawks are gonna win it all or not (any given Sunday, and all that), but I'm sure gonna enjoy the ride, however far they go…

  5. If Seattle cleans up blown red zone opportunities with that stingy defense, it's gonna be a hard road to the super bowl for any team. Kubiak, I have an idea. Give it to Ouzts on short and goal. You're welcome.

  7. It took 17 weeks for Rich to even mention Seattle. And he still doesn't get it. Wow. Maybe he should actually watch them play.

  8. Technically the "won last game" team in the NFC West is 0-3 this year. So almost as easily as you can bet Seattle's momentum you can imagine them losing a tough battle at home vs another NFC West team. And they play NFC West next unless Green Bay wins or unless EVERY home team wins.

  9. Sam needs to feel free to sling it even if it means some picks. Since we were a missed kick from beating the Rams with 4 picks, I told a buddy my ideal rematch game was for Sam to throw three and we win. Turns out our margin over the Rams was only two picks, but I’ll take it.

Some details you don’t get to when you have 32 teams to cover: through 10 games Sam was in the top QBs for number of attempts into tight windows and elite when throwing there. Then the Rams game with 4 picks happened – everybody has bad games – and then in the following 3.5 games, he had only 9 attempts into tight windows. Nine. I don’t know if he got gun shy after the Rams game, or the coaches did, or both. But when the game was on the line in the Rams rematch and we needed elite QB play to pull it out, you could see he just kind of went “F it, we’re losing anyway, might as well go for broke.” Suddenly we had weeks 1-10 back, throwing darts into tight windows and commanding us down the field for the win.

If the Hawks, and Sam, just let him loose, I think he’ll lead us to another Lombardi, not just go along for the ride with this amazing D. And yeah, throw some picks, Sam, it’s a cost of doing business whe you sling it. But business is good!

He does need to not fumble though. 😂

  10. Seahawks pounded the 49ers, and before that the Steelers, Panthers, Jags and Texans. They also haven't lost to the Eagles since 2008 (18 years, look it up) so their only real competition is the Rams.

  11. Rich you lost a ton of credibility to me on the Seahawks having them 4th. They way they’ve been playing and haven’t lost for how many games in a row now!? You’re either bias against them or not as smart as you portray yourself to be. I would love for you to just say you’re wrong.

  12. Did the other QBs w interceptions, there’s many, take their teams down the field n score n WIN 1; games in their Division.. wld hv been nice for Meyer’s to make those 2 FGs vs 49ers? Seahawks had many key starters out many games, on IR, esp on Def..)n Macdonald told bkups, you practicing like starters, as if they wld play if outperform them at practice (they battle at practice) or if a starter is injured! Macdonald, never, called them bkups, not next man up.. they were part of this team n to train, as if you’re playing, cause you cld? Thanks guy’s*

  13. The Rams had there best offence output of the yr against the hawks Defence which was off in parts of that game and Hawks still won with a little luck. So you got to have the game of the year and our team needs to off or you cant beat the Legion Of DOOM. Its a stupid comparison no team can over come turnovers like the hawks get with reality.

  14. And then you saw that Dark Side creep in over the sky in Seattle and ABSOLUTELY BLANKET those Whiners!!!! MAULED, BULLIED, SMOKED!!! Least points allows in the NFL, 2nd in offensive points scored, largest point differential – Respect the hustle RICH!

  15. Hope the Pack win and the Hawks get them instead of the Rams. Not afraid of them that matchup should be Conf Championship game not a Divisional one.

  16. Imagine your job is sports. Now imagine you don’t recognize the best defense until week 18. I don’t get it. I’m a hawks fan. But I also know about Texans and Jags because I watch a TON of football. And it’s not my job.
