Would Troy Aikman or Brett Favre on the plane home from a game tell the coaching staff….I think I have a concussion? Would they take themselves out of a game? No to both. Kid is not tough and is not protecting himself by diving head first all the time.
As far as McCarthy goes… I watched his last few games… There is "something" there. As he get more experience I want to believe that it will come out but for right now… The kid is snake bite 😢
After the little antics he pulled in the final game of the season (He pulled himself off the field claiming his hand was hurting, then putting a towel on his hand. Then little later in the game. He was waving his hands and clapping for C.J. Ham, when his hand allegedly "hurt" *Reminded me of how his ankle was "hurt" but can't remember which game it was, when he was on the sidelines and he jumped up in the air and landed perfectly fine on his "hurt ankle" when avoiding a pile up of players.*) I hate saying this, but J.J. is starting to show some red flags about possibly being a premadana. I'm slowly starting to lean towards going all in and trading for Joe Burrow.

At 22 I was a A/C asst. Crew Chief C-140 Aircraft in the Philippines. 1974 watched the Vikings lose back to back Super Bowls while I was there. Miami then Pittsburg lost $5.00 each game that was a half a days pay plus the HaHa's that went with it.

Short of signing either Lamar Jackson or Joe Burrow, yes JJ should start next season. Sitting behind someone is not going to help him grow…only game reps can do that
On that sideline unsportsmanlike penalty JJ was acting like a cocky kid in ninth grade. For me at least it's a real concern.
I'm a fan of jj but he needs help. The team needs help. I'm saying no.

Rich Gannon was a very mediocre QB while we had him. A few years down the line, he ended up taking a decent OAK team to the SB. Brad Johnson was a similar story. JJ needs ro be QB2 for a season or two, get stronger both mentally and physically. I fully expect him to get it… but it's gonna take a while.
Bring in Snoop Huntley
I think he showed some talent, and needs experience. Potential is there. However, he can’t stay on the field. Concerned he will be hurt often and we will need a good back up.
If I had to submit an article on why Vikings fans don’t deserve a franchise QB, I would just post this video.

If I were JJ, I would let hand heal, and then I would go to the Vikings indoor facility during the off-season 4 times a week early drill down on accuracy.

Willis or Levis are both better options than the 3 listed here. I could live with Stafford for 2 years as a mentor stopgap. Keep Brosmer though – he's going to be good.
