You know it’s been a day since the meaningless win. I’ve had some time to think. Originally, I was very sad, same old same old. But, man, as I try not to go into the same pit that leaves endlessly disappointed and filled with apathy about this team I offer a different perspective though. (Also this has probably already been said, just didn’t see a post about it when I scrolled through)

Last year, Patriots go into week 18. If they lose, they get the first pick. What happens? Joe Milton causes the Pats to win the game and lose the number 1 overall pick, pushing them back to pick 4.

  1. What happens? They hire Vrabel.

  2. Who do they get? Will Campbell.

  3. How do they do next season? 14-3

Giants go into the weekend. With a loss (Raiders win against the chiefs) they would’ve secured the #1 pick. Guess who rears his head…Joe Milton. Giants win and now have the 5th pick. Now it’s time for them to answer the next 3 questions. They won’t need to look far to find the answers

Also I know if we lost the Raiders would’ve lost to secure it…but cmon it’s better for the storyline.

My Hypothesis? Giants vs Patriots round 3 Super Bowl LXI

  1. I just don’t think any of these candidates are remotely close to Vrabel. But who knows. A lot to be hopeful about.

  2. I don’t want to play Vrabel’s current Pats in the Super Bowl though. They almost killed Gunner!

  3. Going from 2nd to 5th pick when you already have your QB is really not the end of the world, people need to relax.

  4. The Pats are living proof that a solid head coach hire is an important change. Vrabel got fired from the Titans a year before he ended up with them… just like Tom Coughlin got fired from the Jags before he ended up with us

  5. Getting more draft stock would have been great, but this front office would have screwed it up regardless.
