The Seahawks Can Make A Deep Playoff Run Behind Their Defense
Chris Long looks at the Seattle Seahawks Week 18 victory over the San Francisco 49ers and earning the NFC’s #1 seed. The Seahawks are led by their defense, designed by head coach Mike Macdonald, which has dominated opponents all season and looks to continue that in the postseason. Chris analyzes the Seahawks potential in the NFL playoffs and which teams they would have the most success playing against. Sam Darnold and Jaxon Smith-Njigba will have to show up on offense in the playoffs if the Seahawks want to go far.

I like Eagles to make it back to the big game
On the 3rd and 17, I realize San Frans D is not good without Warner and Bosa but that is the 3rd game in a row that the Hawks converted a 3rd and 15+ running the ball and the 4th time this season.
Been saying all season I just need Sam not to throw 4 picks in a game and our defense will win it for us donβt forget defense wins championships
Purdy played much worse
Stafford been mid lately too
Darnold been playing better imo
Id rather see SF than LA.
I've heard multiple nicknames for the defense. One is the dark side. My favorite though, is the death zone. They lay it out perfectly. The death zone refers to Mt Everest, the last checkpoint before the summit where it's difficult to breathe without supplemental oxygen. It's suffocating. That's what this defense is. The death zone.
Bradford has been playing well these past 4 games and Sam has proven that he plays well under pressure
My only concern that if their defense is not as "good" for that 1 game which is one game win or lose.. the thing with Seattle is there does not seem to be egos
witherspoon most certainly talks lmao
Man I swear all these podcast do they not watch football ball in the first game vs sf they had bossa and Fred and barley one when are yall going to see that Seattle the best team in the nfl
π
Kinda tired of everyone making excuses for the Niners. They say its because Williams, Pearsall, weren't playing but then they say Kittle was hobbling. So if they play well then everything is good "see, Niners are legit", but if they lose. its countless excuses.
Spoon is definitely a talker. π
Mike Macdonald Coach of the Year. Same o/u as NE at beginning of the season. Mike had to overcome Sam Darnold and his turnovers he lead the league this season in turnovers, in spite of this the defense in Mike's scheme tied for the best record in the NFL and had the best point differential.
The flukes going the way of our teams is a city wide thing, I swear! The Mariners strive on chaos in close games too. I swear itβs just something about the soil in SoDo that makes magic for our guys
Rams in la got a ridiculous kick so they won by luck on their field no one brings that up but when Seahawks do it that's all they talk about how they needed luck i think they will beat them a 3rd time simply because u can see they know they are better if sam just plays like he did against the 49ers and just game manage they would've sweep rams in both game.
Charles cross is coming back by the playoffs.
I know this league is all about what happened this week but I watched this defense give up 460 passing yards to Stafford and 225 receiving yards to Puka and 37 points in a game where the refs called back a TD for a lineman downfield that was not a penalty and a game where a kicker missed an easy one. So easily could have been 44 points and almost 600 yards of offense at home. And the Rams did that minus their best lineman who was stomped on by a Seahawk and minus their best TE and Davante Adams. Hopefully we get round 3 of that matchup.
They beat the Panthers will so bad, they a knee 3 times for them! π
