  1. My dad always wanted to just watch Baseball w/o the headache of looking
into the finances of the league. You have to find what team is considered
big market and such. The Pirates to me seem like a little fish swimming in
a sea of whales. How can one compete against that. When it started, who
knows. All you find out is the fact that the Pirates mold an all-star caliber
player and then lose him to a wannabe playoff team. Same thing year after
year. I've always said for years the Pirates are nothing but a farm team for
MLB. They can't even string together a couple winning seasons. The Pens
made the playoffs for more than a decade. The Steelers make the playoffs
a few times here and there, but the Pirates? Where do they finish year after
year. The owner doesn't realize the fact that you make more money the
more you win. Seems he is content with just being less than average and
filling his pockets with money. The guy selling hotdogs in the stands could
    do better than that.
