Matty Ice Is All-In…

  1. I hope that’s the case. I liked him a lot as a color commentator, but pregame and halftime shows are so empty–a total waste of his talents.

  2. Matt Ryan the grey, that’s what they used to call him….

This is Matt Ryan the white and he comes back to us now at the turn of the tide!

  3. He cares more about winning than anyone else in the building, this really could be what turns the Falcons from a purely profit based operation to an actual football team.

  4. Man it truly feels like I’ve stepped into an alternate universe with the way this franchise has operated these last 2 days

  5. It seems foolish to leave just when you have a good collection of blazers with the CBS eye logo embroidered on the pocket

  6. I cannot wait for him to be here again. The universe has felt out of balance since he left.

  7. What is with the media being so wrong about stuff this coaching cycle? They said this morning he wanted to stay at CBS, but that wasn’t true… good lord

  8. I knew that was bogus from the get go. Matt Ryan is not a half in kind of dude. Source: he has 3 kids.

  9. I’m going to keep posting this…

*You really think Matt Ryan coming in for on the job training and directly reporting to Mr. Blank is going to change things?!?*

  10. I’m just happy that when the Atlanta Falcons are Super Bowl champions Matt Ryan will still get a ring and share in that moment.

  11. First I was super happy to hear this. Then I realized Matt could end up with a SB ring, and I actually dropped a single tear.

  12. I really hope it happens and he’s very involved. Has any other franchise done something like this? I’m sure it’s happened before, but I can’t think of any examples.

I can’t think of a better candidate to run your football operations than a former QB. They’ve commanded the Offense. Executed your plays. Seen your strengths, weaknesses, and potential.

It’s like making your top supervisor a Director of Operations—you know they’d do a fantastic job, but it never happens that way. It’s always some asshole who doesn’t know “how the sausage is made”. I’m surprised the Saints never made an offer to Drew Brees like this (that I’m aware of).

  13. If Matt Ryan leads this rebuild and we win the Super Bowl with him in the front office, does this bolster his HOF case?

  14. I hope Ryan’s got the right skills for a top level management job. I’d try to lure John Harbaugh away from the Ravens to be head coach. I don’t know what his contract says about leaving though. I don’t know if Ravens’ management would let him go.
