This man will always be a cornerstone of today’s Detroit Lions franchise.

Even on a season where he was kickin ass regularly, he doesn’t shy away from taking responsibility. A true leader, so glad he’s ours.

Love Sewell’s attitude here.
Taylor Decker and Penei Sewell will always be two of the three guys that come to mind when I hear “Detroit Lions Tackle”
Hearing this accountability and honesty gets me so excited for the future of this program.
Hes not wrong. While he was pretty great in the run game, he had his worst year in pass protection yet.
Maybe his rookie year was worse. He moved around a lot then. But he was below his standard this year. I kind of just figured he was really banged up this year.
Best player on the team and acting like it.
Best player in the league at his position by a country mile: “I need to do better.” What a dude.
Its crazy how he is being accurate saying that for him this is a down year, but its still a pro bowl worthy year.
Highest graded tackle in the league lol.
W mindset but he’s the last person to blame. Interior O-Line got destroyed all year long and defense was forcing us to score 40 a game minimum to win.
He needs to be way better in pass protection to be an elite tackle.
I find it strange how much shit Hutch gets here and the standard he’s held to versus how Sewell get no criticism at all. I dont Sewell had a better year than Hutch. He wasn’t a top 20 tackle in pass protection this year – thats not good enough.
If this team doesn’t define grit and ownership I don’t know what does
