Prefacing this with I’m an unapologetic Parekh anti-stan.
Parekh 100% earned the right to make those comments, it is the personality that he had in the OHL and was no different when we drafted him. The fact that the org and players got upset by it means they maybe *also* need to focus on their *own* games and jobs. Guys can’t even play 60 minutes of hockey right now. What’s even more perplexing is the fact that Weegar thought he was going to make Team Canada but did not, then played arguably one of his worst games in a flames jersey when he didn’t. Similarly playing bad game last night is laughable. Weegar deciding that shooting Parekh a message to “focus on playing the game” is wild. Don’t get me wrong, Parekh was an offensive phenom at WJC and honestly congrats for getting that record, but that still doesn’t change the fact that he is a defensive liability and has so far shown to be pretty fragile after taking some hits. But to rag the kid for having fun and saying what everyone is thinking? Grow a pair and give em a tug Flames.
This is not a critique of Parekh as a Player or his potential, before the pitchforks are raised. His ceiling is high, but he has an uphill battle to get there. I’ll happily eat my words, like I have many times before, when he eventually pans out and lights it up. Lets hope this dummy org doesn’t fumble it and Parekh is forced to do that somewhere else.
People – ” hockey players are like robots in interviews, why can’t they have more personality”.
Parekh shows personality in an interview
People – ” how dare he not be a robot and have personality. He offended his entire team!!”

[He should just study noted flames fan Jared Keeso’s video for how to conduct himself moving forward](https://youtu.be/itaP9_Vltfk?si=I2hPaQKdwm06mdas)
