Looks like we get our wish…Jets and Fins bringing back their head coaches for another season! Get out the popcorn to watch those train wrecks next year.

  1. Jets makes sense, i understand giving him more time.

Fins is truly baffling. Hes simply not a leader.

  2. I actually get both.

The Jets were a trainwreck this year, and are not gonna be much better next year. But, due to some shockingly good front office moves, they got a billion first round picks to work with in the next couple years. Basically, they are still gonna be shit next year, so might as well see if they can develop a HC.

The Dolphins I get too, mainly cause they are in a world of shit due to Tua’s contract. They are about to have so much dead money, and not really be able to attract any decent free agent. Couple that with not entirely tanking, getting 7 wins isn’t helping when you just need to pick high, and next year probably is gonna be crap regardless of coaching. Plus, with a new GM, one has to figure McDonald is on a very short leash.

  3. We already have the Bills to deal with, we need the Jets and Dolphins to continue to stink for a while.

  4. I think McDaniels gets a bit too much hate tbh. Dolphins pulled out a respectable season for a TEs, who benched their overpaid QB and we’re falling apart. Ewers hasn’t looked terrible either so who know what they’ll do next year.

  5. I hate how our stupid fans are coming out of the woodwork again now that we’re good

  6. Watching the Pats play the Jets last year just always struck me with how Glenn had that same vacant “am I supposed to be doing something?” look on his face that Mayo had with the Pats.

  7. I’m not usually a fan of knee jerk sackings but Glenn has to go. The Jets were comfortably the worst team I watched play last year. The defence was criminal and they had nothing on offence beyond Breece Hall, it’s a truly disgusting situation. Wretched foul play calling, looking like they’d never encountered the schemes of the other teams prior to having a train run on them repeatedly!

The Dolphins weren’t quite as bad, but their coaching was extremely poor. Milton Williams ran through unblocked and smashed into their RB in our last game against them! Like seriously, you’ve got to block opposing interior rushers.

  8. McDaniel is a decent coach. Glenn doesn’t seem like one, but we’ll see. The QB situation on both teams will change how we feel about each team. The Jets’ have a pretty rough roster top to bottom. Decent offensive line though. The Dolphins need to hire a GM and perhaps this is essentially a lame duck year for McDaniel.

  9. I think Mike is a pretty good coach honestly.

The other, idunno. I don’t like judging after one single season.

  10. Dunking on Glenn seems kinda weird. He was a great coordinator and I think has the possibility to be a good head coach. Unfortunately for him he accepted the Jets job, and they have a terrible roster and a terrible owner. FTJ. Fields was a dumb plan from the jump.

McDaniels to me is a decent coach. It’s just run it’s course. At one point he had then playing good ball, but now it’s like he’s buddy buddy with them or something. Tua regression may be a big part of it. But they just seemed checked out the last 2 years

  11. I don’t think it’s awful decision making. The Jets are giving Glenn time, which we will see how that pans out. It was a truly an awful fucking team out there but they had zero god damn talent outside of Breece Hall for a large part of the season.

  12. I think McDaniel should’ve been let go. He could be a phenomenal OC somewhere for a few years, maybe even win a ring, then get another offer somewhere. I believe he is talented but should not be a HC. At least right now. Maybe in a few years.

I agree with Aaron Glenn staying but only because the Jets need some fucking consistency. They should’ve kept Salah imo but Jets are going to Jet. They have hit on multiple draft picks the past few years and they have a butt load of upcoming picks, so there is a potential for a bright future. They just need a QB and a head coach. Aaron Glenn probably isn’t the long term answer but if they at least give him a couple more seasons, they should be able to build a solid foundation.

Then again I hate both these franchises, so their ongoing failures will continue to make me happy.

  13. You forgot Sean McDermott. I hope the Bills keep him for Josh’s entire career. That team would be scary if they had a coach who knew anything about championship football.

  14. I think McDaniel is pretty good. Having Tua as your guy is a major handicap to an offense. If they bite the bullet on his contract and being in a competent QB I think theyll be better than average

  15. I actually think McDaniel is a good coach. Aaron Glenn however, gives me unwanted flashbacks to the Jerod Mayo era.

  16. Thanks for the click bait. I thought it was gonna say Denver’s best edge rusher tore an ACL.

  17. Jets coach was the same level bad as Mayo, they will be bad as long as they keep him. McDaniel will be fired by mid season next year too

  18. Aaron Glenn needs at least a five year extension. Is there a Go-Fund-Me I can donate to?

  19. Aaron Glenn and Mike McDaniel are both good coaches.

The Jets can build a team in Glenn’s image soon.

And Mike McDaniel is a great football mind.

Miami may have been a glass cannon, but when the cannon was functional it was one of the most electric offenses in the league.

  20. surprised at all the raiders being worse comments. like yea their record was as bad, sure, but did you not watch the second half of the season Jets? Granted they still didn’t do anything when they had Sauce and Quinnen, but wow this defense was literal swiss cheese post trades. Sure, Drake is simply MVP caliber, but 90% completion/5td/250+ yards is unheard of for a very good reason. people forget Lawrence hung up 5tds on them too just a couple weeks prior.

Aside from Breece, who on their team deserves to be in a starting lineup? Most guys they start could barely make a practice squad cut. I do think the Jets are much worse than the Raiders who shut down their only roster glimmer and the Titans who are ‘everything but a qb’ away

  21. Let’s just hope the division makes it a trifecta and the Bills keep McDermott after another 1 and done in the playoffs.

Only reason he’s had his job as long as he has is because Josh Allen can solo carry that team against an incredibly weak AFC East. Boggles my mind how long he’s held onto that job. But I get it, the Bills aren’t used to winning records why rock the boat.

  22. The Jets should have fired their coach just based on the fact they didn’t have 1 single interception all season. Like couldn’t even luck into one. No batted ball for a pick, no errant throw, no overthrow to a safety. Not a single interception.

I PROMISE you anyone in this comment section could coach the secondary to that stat.
