[BNS] Blue Jays haven’t closed the door on Bo Bichette or Kyle Tucker. They’ve had recent dialogue with Tucker – at least about parameters around a deal. But at a time that Jays already have a strong roster, they’re positioned to proceed on their terms

  1. If the Jays proceed on “their terms” and not “competitive terms” then they’ll have little to no chance at Bo/Tucker. Not that I necessarily believe this rumour is accurate anyway.

  2. BNS is just a guy from r/nothingeverhappens who just so happens to be a jays reporter

  3. If Jay’s fans have learned anything in the off seasons. It’s that BNS has nothing original to report and just either makes educated guesses or copies others reporting.

  4. This means either one is going to sign with the Jays tomorrow if the past is anything to go by.

  5. At first glance I though I saw the words “Blue Jays”, “Kyle Tucker”, and “close” in the same title and got very excited for a half a second until I actually read it

  6. My thought – combining the rumour mill, and the jays seeming lack of burning desire to lock him up, the jays are prepared to move on without him unless he basically falls into their lap. Highly unlikely.

My prediction – Tucker signs with Toronto and Santander ends up elsewhere in a month after the Jays swallow most of his deal.

  7. They can’t close the door on Bo because my foot is in the doorway I will not let him go

  8. I will admit I am bias and Bo is my first choice. BUT I cannot see how the Blue Jays can give Tucker $300 million or possibly more. I just don’t think he’s worth that.

  9. How many times has he provided nothing burgers when it comes to trade/free agency rumours.

He has it easy. Provide absolutely nothing in his posts while also sounding like he has inside knowledge.

    Rinse and repeat

  10. They can’t be done… if the roster stays as us, I am not sure if we have improved offensively.

  11. “Hey Kyle Tucker listen I mean we want you but we also have Anthony Santander and Nathan Lukes on the roster so I mean we don’t *need* to pay you $35mil a year”
