White Sox Among Teams Interested In Griffin Canning

Wouldn’t hate it. He’s about the tier of starter I was expecting to round out the rotation. GG in 2020 doesn’t hurt.
Typical White Sox buy low and see what they can fix. Probably move him at the deadline if we land him.
I initially read that as *Grifol* Canning and I thought we were gonna get the dirt on how he was told he was fired. As for this potential signing, eh, why not?
I like this move. We need someone to soak up innings badly and he has some upside.
Seems a bit strange. Dude ruptured his Achilles in June, I doubt he’s good to go by opening day.
The upside lies with giving these opportunities to players with control remaining.
I’ll take a 40 man casualty everyday over a 1 year vet, but if no options are out there, no options are out there.
