  1. Cousins perfect fit here starts first 5-7 games a if jj ready then fine but if Kirk goes off stays clean and healthy we gotta stew! I wouldn’t play with jj and this everything gets hurt because excuses aren’t flying.

  2. I really enjoy your updates on my favorite NFL team. This is my first time ever commenting. I just found myself yelling “NO” several times during this edition. We don’t need mediocre players. Please quit saying that Kirk is an option for us or Kyler Murray or any other player who has consistently been average or below. Let’s challenge the owners and leadership in Minneapolis to go after the best. Thanks, again for your love for the purple and the great job you do on this podcast. Keep your eyes on that Super Bowl prize though and don’t encourage anyone with the Vikings to bring on average. Have a great week!

  3. 8:06 No to Tua, Kyler, and Cousins in general but I hate to agree that Cousins makes the most sense. He knows the system, would be cheaper than Tua or Kyler, and would return with the understanding that he is either the backup or a short term starter. To me either Tua or Kyler mean that we are moving on from JJ because they are both young and probably would command $25-30million+ AAV. At that point I’d much rather go for Burrow or Lamar than watch either of those two struggle.

  4. Say what you Will about Cousins but he low-key gave Justin Jefferson the stardom(yards/targets/td) he deserved. It would’ve been hard to breakout like he did with a shotty quarterback who can’t throw the ball down the field. Of course he would’ve but it would’ve been a lot harder. Just saying he was the right QB at the time. I’d be OK to bring him back as a veteran backup to McCarthy.

  5. Assuming Lamer or Burrow don't happen, Kirk shold absolutely be an option for top-tier backups to provide legit competition for JJ to hopefully beat out. I know a bunch of us will lose our minds but the professionals can handle it.
    1. Malik Willis
    2. Daniel Jones
    3. Kirk
    4. Rodgers

  6. Good morning fellow Jeromes! 😀*Good point Andy re* Harbaugh's availability causing one or more additional HC firings to make room for Harbaugh!👍 As I said yesterday, if Flores wanted to say "Thank you!" to the Vikes for looking past Flores' difficult start (in Miami), showing faith in his abilities, and hiring him to be the Vikes' DC…Flores should work out a new sensible contract with the Vikes & sign it…then just before Flores signs on to be a HC elsewhere, the Flores & the Vikes would voluntarily void the contract without penalty to either party. That would guarantee that the Vikes get one or more compensatory picks in the draft! 👍 SKOL!!!

  7. Remember what all but ended (maybe?…been a while) Robert Smith's career? Fighting for meaningless yardage at the sideline on a play that lost yards and in the process tore his ACL. For QBs ego stuff like not sliding or diving soon enough shortens careers. That's all the fanbase needs with JJ now, right?

  8. Who's better as a backup than Cousins for all the reasons you describe? And I don't know if there's a bet for this but how many QBs with 5 or years less NFL experience make it 17 games or so without getting hurt? A serviceable backup QB or better can make or break a season.

  9. All the Kirk Cousins haters need to stop getting their knickers in a knot. 😂 Like it or not, the truth is that Cousins played well this year, and he'd only be the backup QB . Also, Cousins would be quite capable of delivering the goods for a quarter or two, or a game or two IF McCarthy gets dinged-up. 🤔Of course, this is not an 'fait acompli'. Because there's a good chance that Cousins will be the most talented and experienced free agent QB available this off-season, he certainly could sign with elsewhere. (..for example, I wonder if the Colts will want Cousins, because, realistically, Daniel Jones will not be truly 100% until the end of next season at the earliest…). 🤔 SKOL!!!
