Accountability O’Clock

  1. Time to bring the receipts again.

I thought it was incredibly tacky when he did two years ago, especially coming of the loss in the NFCCG.

Now that we’ve taken a step back from where we two years ago, I imagine he’ll come in with some more humility. But I’ll probably be wrong.

  2. I swear, if this dude brings up injuries even once, Ill throw my phone threw a wall.

Chargers had injuries and are in the playoffs.

49ers had injuries and are in the playoffs

Look at the performance against the Bears. We had injuries then and still looked good.

We failed this year because of poor coordinator choices, lack of player acquisition, and poor draft choices.

  3. Lol if you think he’s going to say anything that you’ll find as being held accountable, I’ve got some bad news for you

  4. Let’s be honest – he’s not going to say much besides generalized things about “reflection,” “evaluating,” “doing what’s best for this franchise,” and “making decisions not only for the immediate but for the future as well.”

If people are expecting a full, weeping breakdown at the podium, you’ll be disappointed.

  5. I really hope he apologizes. I feel like he lost all of his aura as a legit GM. Went from top of the charts to a bottom of the league GM so quick. Doesn’t help he acts like an asshole either.

  6. I sure hope so but based on how hes acted I doubt it, Dan gave himself an F…I assure you Mr Receipts, Mr Villain won’t do that. I just ask for some humility from him and less of the smartest man in the room.

  7. Hopefully we get some answers and not some excuses. This will be very telling of the approach to the offseason imo.

  8. Maybe Sheila should fire him so the Lions can spend another 60 years looking for a quality GM.

  9. I’ve been wanting to hear what he has to say for a while now, I know what would make me feel better but I also know he’s probably not going to say anything that really would. At least not I was in an angry mindset about it all. So I’m just expecting the usual surface level stuff and anything more than that will be a bonus. It would be nice though to get at least some level of humility and accountability beyond just PR speak. We shall see what happens

  10. “Dan and I spoke and we both like the guys that we currently have in the locker room. We feel we are really close to achieving our goals.”

  11. So it’s Brad this week? Are we going to doom everybody to hell? For fans that claim love; you all shit on every single thing about this franchise. I’m not even kidding when I say fans doomed less, blamed the refs less and were more positive after 2008 season than they are now.

  12. Lol at all the people mad in the comments…

“Argh I hate this guy that rose to the occasion when he arrived and made multiple All-Pro / ProBowl draft picks and hit on 4 of the 5 seasons he drafted! He’s not good enough!”

  13. How is he accountable for all the injuries we had this year that decimated our roster?

They already fired Morton and are looking for a new OC, and they’ll try to pick up OL pieces in the offseason and draft.

    What more do people want?

  14. Some of you guys really need to stop listening to 97.1, it’s not good for you lol

  15. I’m absolutely certain that Brad is extremely worried about the approval of some dunderhead on Reddit.

  16. I love Brad Holmes. He’s a huge part of some of the best memories of my life as a lions fan. I still trust him

  17. After flaunting receipts last year I expect some accountability going forward and naming specific areas where we need to improve. Otherwise it will be disappointing

  18. I unironically hope Brad says “we’re good” and takes no accountability just to see the reactions from the hysterical bedwetters that dominate this sub

  19. It’s so funny watching nobodies who have zero experience tell us exactly what we need after two terrible injury ridden seasons and the best management and coach we’ve ever had. Just put these people out of their misery already.
