Only one week instead of all January long (1/19-1/25)

No autographs (except at Fan Fest on 1/24), just photos

Hot Stove Show now at Hurtado's instead of the 105.3 The Fan Studios

Kroger locations will only be revealed ON THE DAY OF the event

Frisco event (at the Embassy Suites instead of the Roughriders Park) now cost $25

No players revealed at this time

As someone who attended these events for the last 3 years, I'm very disappointed. I have collected dozens of Rangers autographs at various Krogers around DFW and taken pics of our trophy at each event. Now it seems they lobotomized a popular fan interaction by not just reducing a month long tour to a week, but also taking out some of the elements that made it popular.

  1. the original point of the caravan was to go to cities outside of DFW so that non-Metroplex residents could see some players. really sucks to see it become this.

and 99% of people who go to FanFest won’t get autographs anyway.

  2. Went in Burleson last year. Took my 5 and 8 year olds. They thought it was cool and hardly a line. If I recall it was Cody Bradford and maybe Latz? Nothing great but cool for kids. This is just dumb.

  3. I too saw this announcement and am gravely disappointed. Just another reason why I have the stance this franchise makes it hard to be a fan sometimes. While I am in the metroplex I traveled far and wide to meet these guys and talk with them if nothing else.

The one week compression with everything drop of the hat is hard to take for someone who made plans to be off work and make the travel to wait in line to do so.

  4. I went to the fan fest last year and I didn’t know that you were going to have to wait in line for a player without knowing who they were and be given a ticket. It was so F’d and the fast pass is only reliable if you are a seller of goods and can afford the premier products to then turn around and sell. That is one thing the Rangers do horribly!

  5. I’ve never had the chance to attend any of these events because I’m on the East Coast, but the fact that the Rangers are crapping the bed with fan engagement these days is disheartening. What a dumbass thing to skimp on.
