  1. Imma gonna slightly agree on the pass rush but i think the Colts are sorely needing a completely new LB room as that position just killed them this last season…Colts need draft picks and depth on the OL & CB's ….

  2. One correction. Regarding the salary cap – Bonuses are what still counts against a team's cap. Their yearly salary does not. That pauses. Then, when/if they unretire, they're locked into whatever the contract was. Even if it's years down the road.

    Teams can also try to recoup the roster bonuses, although, Ballard doesnt like to.

  3. I feel like if the colts can create cap space and sign Hendrickson then the need for pure speed rusher falls pretty low. In 24’ he had 46 quick pressures under 2.5 sec. that with Latu ability to win late theoretically would compliment each other nicely. Personally I would really like Latu’s to bulk up and be more of a physical presence with great hands instead of trying to be a finesse/speed guy he just doesn’t have a quick enough get off. Same goes for JTT. If he can stay athletic at 280-285 get into the 4i/5 that would be best

  4. I don’t understand how the Broncos had 4 wins in 2022 like us, made the worst trade ever with Russ, and now they’re the number one seed. The Bengals made the SB a year after a new coach and new QB. The Commanders as miserable as they were under Dan Snyder, made it to the championship game last year with a new QB and new coach. The Texans are back in the playoffs after being so bad for a couple of years. The Patriots after being bad without Brady are now one of the top teams. Ballard has had 8 years of mediocrity and they’re bringing him back for a 9th year. Make it make sense. 🤡

  5. The critical analysis here should be incontrovertible. My continuing issue with D Line discussions is the idea that Latu is worthy of high regard. He's not. Just adds to the overall problem.

  6. The Colts need an impact defense player on the order of Mika Parsons to elevate the other positions. Right now they have no pass rush. Also the Colts need to get more talent at the cornerback position. Let’s just say that Sauce is 100% and Ward decides to play with massive padding around his head like flubber, add Kenny Moore now we play seven defensive backs like the Giants did against Brady in there two Super Bowl wins over Brady. Get two excellent pass rushers and bingo third and long is taken care of, even second and long could be a possibility. In today’s NFL the defense needs to overload the other team’s receivers and make the quarterback throw underneath on these long yardage downs. No linebackers after plays that are over 10 yards to go on second down and no linebackers if third down is over 8 yards to go. We need chaos for these offenses to deal with.
