It's funny, these clips always use a pic of Ryan Clark but he's nowhere to be found…he must be very popular 😂😂😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I wrote this about a year ago, so some situations may be different this year, but here we go.. We are already talking about the season being ALL BUT OVER for several teams in the NFL.. teams I think would love to have a chance in the playoffs.. the problem with the NFL Is this, its not inclusive enough when it comes to the playoffs.. how I would run the NFL if it were in my hands.. I would have 2 preseason games, just 2 and then 18 regular season games, with 2 bye weeks, one around the 6 game mark, another around the 12 game mark, and then come playoffs, the top 3 teams of each division are in, the bottom team in each division is out but is put into a Lottery for the top draft spots.. so one may look at the AFC South with the Texans having the best record, they would get a bye in the first round of the playoffs, and as it stands today the Colts would host the Jags, and the Titans would be out but in the lottery for the top 8 draft picks.. but as it stands today, all of these teams would still be in the hunt for these playoff spots.. Houston of coarse would have their spot secured after their win today.. and would have the bye in the division.. but the other three teams, the Colts would probably secure the home team for the division wild card game with their current record, but the Jags and the Titans, would still be battling for that last playoff spot.. and that is the beauty of having the playoffs more inclusive.. otherwise, all three of these teams are just out and have no hope the rest of the season.. and being more inclusive means giving your fans more to cheer for.. keeping them engaged far longer into the season, perhaps to the very bitter end of the season and hopefully into the playoffs as well.. so the middle two teams end up in the wild card, the winner goes and plays in this scenario the Texans at their stadium.. the winner then is the division champion and will face the other division champions, each division has its own champion.. then seed them so the top team plays the bottom team.. we know how to seed teams.. 1 vs 4, 2 vs 3.. and run it from there as you normally would run the playoffs.. every division leader gets a first round bye. not just the top team in the conference, but every division's top team gets a bye.. and the thing about this also means it starts out with division rivals playing each other.. Colts vs Jags, winner plays the Texans.. all division rivalry games.. always hard fought games.. and so every division has a team in the final 4 rounds of the conference.. if that be the Chiefs, the Texans, the Steelers, the Bills, great, if they are the top teams and they got a bye, and then ended up winning their division, they are all in as their division champion.. and a week or two after the super bowl, then you hold the lottery for the bottom 8 teams which did not make the playoffs.. there will be no more tanking for a Trevor.. or a Manning.. I can already see teams lining up to be the team which will lose every game to get Archie Manning.. LOL this would end that.. This system is more inclusive, more money for the league, the teams, and the players with more teams in the playoffs.. it exchanges meaningless pre season games for 1 more real season game.. from 17 to 18 games.. but also gives the teams an extra bye week as well.. and adds more teams to the playoffs.. making it more inclusive.. everything about this is better then what we currently have.. and being more inclusive does not destroy the playoffs, it makes it better.. you simply have to earn you way in and the top team in each division gets a bye as well.. so the Jags travel to the Colts for a wild card playoff game.. who is disappointed about that? Nobody.. maybe the Titans in that they did not make it.. LOL but that is it!! It also helps teams which may have gone through some injuries to get healthy by the time the playoffs come around and can be a serious threat as well.. which otherwise would not make the playoffs in our current system!! Hey NFL, if only I was running the league.. LOL but you can do this.. this is very doable..
JJ TX loves you
Won't have to wait too long…..Morris and the GM are already gone.
It is fair. The job is to win your division first and foremost. If you don't win the division then you're at the mercy of the wild card positioning.
