[Passan] Right-hander Michael Lorenzen and the Colorado Rockies are in agreement on a one-year, $8 million contract that includes a club option, sources tell ESPN. Lorenzen, 34, will be a starter for Colorado, which holds a $9 million option for the 2027 season.

  2. He pitched a no hitter a few years ago also. A decent guy to get and maybe trade him at the deadline.

  3. I’ve been wanting him to be a Rockie for the last 3 off-seasons, good mid-rotation arm, inning eater, can get k’s.

  4. Dude seems to be an ok #5 veteran guy at this point with a bit of an injury history. Has spots where he will play very solid.

    I wonder if they will try and pull off what his agents were pushing. If he plays 20 games in the OF, he can be considered a two-way player and not take a pitching roster spot. Definitely would increase his trade value.

  5. I know these means nothing, but I always seem to pick him up in my MLB The Show franchises, lol.

    I think he could be a great clubhouse guy and a mentor to our younger pitchers. I like this signing .
