RedWings power play:

  1. JVR (net front), Larkin (bumper), DeBrincat-Raymond (flanks), Seider (point).

  2. Finnie (net front), Copp (bumper), Kane-Leonard (flanks), ASP (point).

Second rep with the second unit saw Edvinsson at the point, ASP on the left flank and Kane back to his usual spot on the right flank in place of Leonard.

  1. Boy it sure would be nice if that 3rd pair d unit wasn’t a black hole.
Also, seems like they are serious about Raymond on 3rd line. thought Kasper played poorly last game.

  2. Danielson hurt? Sent down? He isnt on the list and I didn’t see anything about him.

  3. Love the idea of Larkin with two kids. That’s pretty fun.

I know some don’t love the idea of splitting Larkin and Raymond, but sometimes spreading your best talent across three lines pays off. Pittsburgh did that in the back to back cup years.

  4. Spread the love, get three lines all with a threat to score, and maybe spark underachieving guys. I like it

  5. It sure would be fun if that two kids and a Captain line can get some goals or at least keep the puck in the offensive zones for big chunks of time to wear down opponents

  6. Move Leonard to 3 for JVR and I like it, idk why they didn’t run danielson at C instead of compher he’s just a minute muncher for me

  7. Mostly okay, but I think it’s been pretty well established that Ras is better on the wing.

  8. JVR’s IQ and passing and the 3rd line match ups, Raymond should rip it up in that spot.

  9. I’ve liked Soda’s game better than Appleton’s tbf, even if they don’t want to keep him, he needs to play if he’s going to have any positive development and trade value. I mean ASP makes more mistakes per game than Soderblom has this season and they let him develop through it, he should not be a detriment; especially with protecting the puck, when game management is a team issue that seems to be a good trait to have on the ice.
