  1. I know Tucker is the better player, but Bo has been here. He has been Vladys best friend and he has said he wants to stay. So I don't understand why we can't get him He's been loyal

  2. Looks like there will be a decision soon. Both Bluejays and Dodgers aggressively pursuing Tucker. I remember Scott Boras saying it only takes a single aggressive offer to set the market value for a player, forcing others to react and compete.‬

  3. You know what happens when the narrative of "Tucker is coming to the Jays" goes so long it becomes what it is (cry wolf) – the narrative goes the other way … this is how the media keeps "fresh" while they wait for Feb to roll around.

  4. Just put oakamoto on the bench doesn't matter your paying him 60 million stack up and spend money on your bench and sign bichette and tucker i wanna see a stacked bench

  5. Reports are just speculation. There is a whole lot more going on between clubs and players that insiders know nothing about. It's a waiting game, but Jays do need another big bat.

  6. Personally i think Clement is too valuable to be anchored to one position . He was amazing last year playing all over the diamond and i think that is what he should continue to do , much like Barger should continue to do .

  7. Kyle Tucker has .233 post season average. Bo has a .311

Bo is half the money and shows up when it counts. Kyle Tucker is a below average defender as well. Bo is the clear person to sign here.

  8. It's Barger. It always was and if it isn't, it's because he's not good enough to get us what we want. Tho that arm and power will always keep people thirsty.

The fact is that they replaced him at third with a contact hitter who can match his HR total and they are heavily rumoured for Tucker is pretty telling.

I know it's the least desirable option for fans, but it's only ever been Barger.

No matter how you frame it, he's half the ball player anyone thinks and he's running out of options because of it .

We expect one version of Barger, but if we get the other, he's in AAA by June and a non tender candidate by December. This is the end of his leash and he's not even as valuable as our least valuable position in 2024, despite a "breakout".

If they can sell him, they probably will.

He's the position Player version of Louis Varland. 6 years of control, but only 1 option left and showing some signs of dominance among typical struggles.

That's the only reason why I think teams may not prefer Barger – it's essentially now or never before he loses team control

  9. We also thought there was going to be no deal with Vladdy and in the next year he would be a NY Met, he re-signed. We'll see what happens. I still think it is more likely to re-sign Bichette over Tucker given cost reasons.
