  16. I have it on good authority that Tzu Wei Lin and Devin Marrero are keen on a return. Each want approx 150/5…..Just say the word, I will pick up the phone.

  17. Trading Devers also helped free up space to extend Roman, so it’s not all just about FAs.

  18. Lets wait until Bregman & Bichette sign to start making any declarations for this season.

    If they bring Bregman back then this team actually improved a decent amount and has plenty of ammunition to acquire another frontline starter or 2B if they have to.

  21. They extended Anthony and spent 47 million on adding gray and Wilson. So in terms of this year’s payroll they’ve added 63 million onto the payroll with just those three contracts for 2026. They are sitting 9 million or so below the first cbt which if they add bregman they will far exceed.

    I get still being mad about mookie, it was one of the worst trades of all time but raffy is no where near the player that mookie and it became clear that what’s best for the team wasn’t his priority.

  22. Eh I think they might be playing the market right on bregman. I hate it too but I think it’s gonna work out anyway. Just wish they had more pitching on the way. They have a bunch of number 3/4s and crochet

  27. Who says they won’t? Last time I checked, the season doesn’t begin until March 26. Bregman signed last year in mid-February.

  28. I don’t particularly care if they add payroll via trade vs. FA. Obviously at this stage they still need to land a FA bat. If they don’t, I’ll criticize them for it. Until then, it’s whining just to whine. We went through this exact thing last offseason.

  29. Kind of a nonsense take, it’s not as though the Sox have done nothing this offseason. They haven’t signed a FA yet. There’s still FA left. It’s January 8.

  32. I swear that half this sub just wants to see people signed and spent on, regardless of whether or not we needed them or it helped improve the team overall.
