Could Jim Schwartz or Tommy Rees FIX the Cleveland Browns if they get hired as the new head coach?
The Browns fired head coach Kevin Stefanski on Monday, but it’s possible his replacement will come from the staff he assembled. The team will conduct head coaching interviews with defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz and offensive coordinator Tommy Rees on Thursday, Mary Kay Cabot of cleveland.com reports. While the Browns will discuss the position with Schwartz and Rees, they’re also hoping to meet with Bengals O-coordinator Dan Pitcher. The Browns have requested an interview with Pitcher, per Dianna Russini of The Athletic.
The 59-year-old Schwartz is the lone member of this trio with head coaching experience. Schwartz is a sucessful DC and a failed HC enough said hopefully they bring him back as DC.
Once again, Tyvis is right. It makes no sense to fire Stefanski and promote one of his assistants. They need a hard reset. Low key, I like Durde #1 or Minter #2 and bring in Mike McDaniel at OC. IF they can't get Harbaugh. Just assume Schwartz is gone, as much as it hurts. They have no chance to win more than 8 games next year, probably going to go 7-9 IF they get a decent draft.

10:35 yeah, you never hear anything good about Cleveland around the country. That goes for city, residents, business and sports. I’m not saying it’s right but if you say you’re going to Cleveland people are like, “Cleveland? Why would you go there?”

Schwartz is the coach they interviewing offensive coordinators and the Rooney rule. Only elite head coach's can interview. They have to show the team that they listened to them about Schwartz.
