More and more teams have started adding diacritics to player jerseys. In addition to loving the way they look, it's a representation of the player's actual name on their own jersey. I would love to see the team do this, so I (crudely) mocked up the two current players that have diacritics in their names, as well as two of our historical players. Who do we talk to to convince the team this is a good idea?

I’m all for it. Östlund and Ostlund are not the same thing. Although I’m sure a “Cheese Grove” is delicious…
It bothers me so much to hear these announcers absolutely butcher Östlund’s name. I think these would make a huge difference.
Brière had the accent grave over the first “e” in his nameplate when he played for the Canadiens. I thought it was a nice touch.
Skål to you for bringing this up! 🍻 IDK who would be responsible for getting this done but I would LOVE to see it! 🇸🇪❤️ (side note, I now want a drinking horn emoji…)
I believe it’s up to the equipment staff. It could also be on the hockey dept to an extent too but my guess is that it’s the EQ staff’s job to make that call. I remember it was a thing that they had the lowercase C on McCabe’s and McGinn’s jerseys placed differently because of their heritage.
