[Sidery] The Kings are canvassing the market to offload Malik Monk in a multi-team framework with the Warriors for Jonathan Kuminga. The Nets are a team to monitor with Michael Porter Jr. Golden State: Porter Sacramento: Kuminga Brooklyn: Monk, draft capital, salary filler via Warriors

  1. I mean hell yeah as long as we’re not the ones getting Monk I’m fuckin down for sure

  2. this is speculation it means nothing new. we know the monk part and he just throws out a possibility that the warriors could trade for mpj but doesn’t actually have sources saying it

  3. Why would the Warriors even need the Kings help in getting MPJ? seems pointless making it a 3 team trade since the team can match MPJ’s contract themselves.

Hard to see this benefits the Warriors in any way unless the Nets really want Monk…

  4. I like it. I think mpj is probably the best combo of talent+fit while giving up a palatable amount of draft capital.

It would create a bit of a weird balance at the forwards. But you take this problem and figure it out all things considered

  5. Warriors gotta convince the kings to send a 1st to Brooklyn in the deal, that’s what smart front offices would do. That’s why everyone wants to do 3-way deals with the Kings.

  6. Steph and MPJ have a good relationship and have worked out together in the past.

My only concern about him is defense.

  7. Part of me is like don’t trade him, shut down Steph to preserve him and tank the rest of the season

  8. This would be a pretty significant win for the Warriors if they can pull it off. Ideally they don’t unload all the draft capital for MPJ. But he’d certainly be an upgrade on what they were getting out of JK

  9. This means nothing.

If y’all think the Warriors are getting MPJ I got a bridge to sell you.

  10. MPJ, he’s a bigger stronger younger version of Klay – he’s a 40+% sniper who can rise up over anyone at anytime!

  11. MPJ for JK + X could be a decent deal, depending on what X is. But if BKN is winding up with Monk, a not-so-great 27-year old with 2 years to run on his contract, my guess is X would be unattractively large. If all or most of the draft capital came from SAC, maybe. SAC getting JK for nothing but Monk is ridiculous. JK is worth more than that even viewed as an expiring contract, and of course he does still have potential as a player.

  12. Michael Porter Junior is a guy Denver just traded with a pick! And now he is worth draft capital to get. I know he is putting up big numbers but everyone puts up big numbers on Nets.

Y’all remember Schoeder? Cam Johnson? Cam Thomas? How many times must we fall for the shiny new toy that’s putting up big numbers on a bad team?

  13. He has no sources! He’s aggregation without sources and somehow isn’t a parody account.
