Love this idea !!! get in the same with the cardinals, twins, tigers, and of course the cubs
Stupid, ol Bobby Manfred is torching his good will he built up in the last couple of years with the pitch clock and other rule changes
Stop looking to the NBA for ideas buddy, the leagues are perfect the way they are
Purists ain’t gonna like this, but I would back it 100%. Regional rivalries are what makes sports great, and plus it would probably make for easier travel on the players
I don’t understand what this is supposed to fix.
Manfred clearly doesn’t care about regionalism or division rivalries. If he did he wouldn’t have gone away from the unbalanced division heavy schedule. It’s just taking something that’s unique about baseball and changing it for no clear monetary reason.
I hate this idea so much man, some traditions just shouldn’t be messed with. Just schedule interdivision and interleague play to minimize travel if it’s that crucial

How about instead, make games easy to watch. Im sick of yhe fuckingnhoops I gotta jump through to watch a game because I live too close to Chicago and also in another market.

I may be in the minority but I would prefer four large divisions of eight teams each, per Tracy Ringolsby’s Fangraphs blog from 2017.
