Boomer, Pinder and Rhett are joined by TSN’s Darren Dreger to talk about Alex Tuch and the Buffalo Sabres, as reports surface that Tuch could be looking for $10+ million per year on his next contract. With him entering the final year of his deal and the Sabres suddenly heating up, the guys debate whether a trade could be on the table, what his market might look like, and how Buffalo should handle the situation moving forward.

  1. I would rather have Tuch over Panarin any day of the week, Tuch has most short handed goals in league last two seasons combined. Having both would be crazy because cap hit would be insane

  2. I want to keep Owen power however I feel if any coach could get the most out of the player it would be Lindy ruff.
Owen power looks so promising his first year when he was up here but now he looks like he's intimidated by the NHL sabres has giving him every opportunity to succeed playing on the best lines.
I wouldn't mind trading him for maybe a veteran defenseman or maybe a veteran goaltender going forward

  3. Tuch I feel has fallen in love with Buffalo New York I think he has met his current girlfriend wife here ??
He loves it here I think he will give a discount especially now that we are winning

  4. Tuch stays as Buff is the only team who can offer him 8 years as the CBA rules change next year, they will front load this deal as a sweetener. Once Skinner’s deal comes off the books they will be fine.

  5. Trade Tuch. With a rising salary cap top 6 forwards are rare & he will allow Buffalo to improve their weak areas (faceoff, PP, bottom defensive depth). Josh Doan should be the priority over Tuch. Benson is also a RFA. Krebs & Kesselring (both won't cost much) are also RFAs. Dunne should also be resigned.

  6. Any team that signs Tuch for $10+ million and more than 6 years will deeply regret it. Would Tuch sign a 4 year contract? No chance! Why won't he? Because nobody in the league would sign him again in 4 years for that kind of money. He wants to lock in a huge salary for the last four years when even he knows he won't be worth it. If this is true, it would make no sense to give him that much money for 8 years!!!! The last four years he will be overpaid by at least 50%. The prudent thing to do for Buffalo is to trade him ASAP. It's the smart move strategically.

  7. Drager is NOT credible when it comes to the Sabres at all. It’s all his own connecting his own dots. He doesn’t have a feel for the fan base whatsoever and is basically making 💩 up. He comes on Sabres Live once a week and steals their $ with conjecture and old news. Loser

  8. im so sick of non sabres fans talking about Tuch as if they have any clue wtf they are talking about…. Tuch has been a Sabres fan his whole life hes from the area, he loves the team & now we are winning with a young roster + he has said billion times he has no interest in leaving which is rare for a player of his lvl

just because u say "Tuchs being traded" over & over doesnt make it true its not gonna happen give it up
